As his lips met mine, a sound somewhere between a shocked grunt and a moan left my throat. He laid me back on the mattress and crawled on top of me, still between my legs. The weight of him combined with the way his tongue danced with mine was mind-numbing.

It’d been so long since I’d been kissed. Since I’d fucked.

My desire for him and what he was giving me outweighed my fear. My insecurities. It was much like, I imagined, a man trapped in a desert and deprived of water for days suddenly walking into a clearing with a plentiful, fresh stream would feel. He wouldn’t question how it was possible for the stream to be there… he’d simply run toward it and quench his thirst.

Leo was my stream, and if the water later turned out to be poison, then damn it all. At least I would’ve had a moment’s pleasure before meeting my fate.

I sighed into his mouth and grabbed his lower back, holding him as close as I could. His lips were soft, but also firm. As was his body.

“I want to fuck you, Saint,” Leo purred as he rolled his body on mine. The movement was an indication of exactly how he wanted to do it, too. His fingers moved to the button on my jeans, and in one easy motion, he popped it open before working down my zipper. He kissed beneath my ear before grazing his teeth down my throat. “To be balls deep in you. Would you like that?”

“No,” I answered, tilting my head back.

Leo stopped kissing my neck and jerked up to look at me. “And why the fuck not?”

His stunned expression almost made me laugh, but I controlled myself. God, he was so cocky.

“Because I’m not a bottom, Leo,” I said, watching his face for his reaction.

First, there was more shock. Then, as it dawned on him, he smirked. “If you want my ass, baby, just take it.” He wiggled his butt and gave me a silly grin. “You don’t even have to buy me dinner first.”

“You’re something else,” I said, fighting a smile.

How could he be obnoxious and sexy all at once? It wasn’t fair.

“Ah, come on.” His playful, side smirk made my stomach flip. “I’m not drunk this time. I promise I’ll be a good boy and let you have control.”

I ached at his words, visualizing one of the fantasies I’d had about kissing down his shoulder blades as I fucked him from behind.

The last time I’d had sex, it’d been with a guy I’d only known for a few days. I’d met him over the summer at the local coffee shop—basically, where all introverts meet their soulmates, right? He wasn’t my soulmate or anything, but he’d been one hell of a great time.

We’d mutually ended things before I’d returned to campus for the semester. Not all hookups were as painless, however, and it was why I didn’t do it as often as I’d like. And why I preferred to actually have a connection with the guy first.

Needless to say, I still hadn’t found a guy I’d connected with, so getting laid was, well, rare.

Then why won’t I jump at Leo’s offer?

“I need to finish an assignment,” I said, peering up at him. He still laid on top of me, moving his hips in a tantalizing way. “It’s a very important one, too.”

Lies. All fucking lies. What the hell is wrong with me?

“Uh huh.” Leo narrowed his eyes. “What subject?”

Shit. I hesitated too long. “Sociology?”

“If you say so, Frosty.” Leo grinned as he got off me and stood. His arousal was evident, and my mouth went dry at the outline of his dick through his athletic pants. “Just know that the offer might not always be here. A guy can only be turned down so many times before he moves on.”

Moves on. As in, find someone more willing. Yeah, I got that. Crystal clear.

Leo didn’t break eye contact with me as he backed out of the room, giving me that arched brow look and moving in slow-motion. He was such a freaking dork.

Once he was gone, I flopped back on the bed and heaved a sigh. Turned-on was an understatement. I was so hard that it felt like I was going to tear a hole in my boxers. Not trusting Leo to not come busting back in my room, I went over and locked the door before getting back on the bed.

Sliding a lotion-slicked hand down my pants, I leaned my head back against the headboard and closed my eyes.

Mom sat across from me in the booth, looking over the menu. She bobbed her head side to side to the overhead music.
