As I glided my wet lips up and down his impressive length, I cupped his sac, massaging the sensitive area.
When I started to feel him tremble, I pulled off.
“Ax,” he groaned, throwing his head back on the cushion and grabbing a handful of the thin blanket beneath him. “Do not stop.”
I nudged his cock with my nose, grinning as I felt it twitch.
Eryx growled and breathed heavily. Panting. He stared down at me with both lust and frustration.
The swollen head was inches from my mouth and slowly—teasingly—I slipped it back between my lips, savoring the salty flavor on my tongue. I started the same rhythm from before, and when he shuddered moments later, I did not stop until I brought him pure ecstasy.
He groaned and dug his fingers tightly in my hair as his heat trickled down my throat.
I loved giving him such pleasure. His happiness was my own.
After wiping my mouth, I moved up his chest, placing kisses on his damp skin, and settled back in at his side.
“Do not become too comfortable, my warrior,” he spoke, still a bit breathless.
I tilted my head and looked at him. “And why is that?”
He quickly turned and pinned me down, holding my forearms and angling his naked body over mine. His golden hair fell into his face, and the smirk touching his lips was telling of all he wished to do.
He was like a destructive seraph, both beautiful and filled with mischievousness.
“Allow me to show you,” he answered before lightly grazing his lips across mine.
I leaned up into him, my heart already starting to pound faster.
Then he did.

374 BC
The year passed with little conflict. The peace had held between the cities, and the agreement was very much like the treaty that had ended the war with Corinth years ago. Each Greek city had their autonomy.
Tensions with Thebes were still high, but neither our side nor theirs had resumed fighting.
Quill had still not come home.
I had hoped—a bit selfishly—that the army garrisoned in Orchomenus would no longer be needed.
With each city having their independence in the peace terms, it could have been seen as an act of war, but unfortunately, Spartan presence there had been maintained due to the hostility Orchomenus continued to have toward Thebes. Since we were their allies and given the power to enforce the agreement, our army there had remained.
The only instance involving outside affairs that I recalled was about a month before when a group of exiled oligarchs had traveled to Sparta seeking assistance. They were men from the city of Corcyra and sought Sparta’s help in defeating their rivals near the Ionian Sea. In return for our aid, they said they’d give Sparta complete control over one of their islands.
We then sent our naval force with twenty-two triremes to help.
The result of that attack had yet to be known. I thought the task to be foolish as Sparta becoming involved in other cities’ politics had often led to heavy defeats in battle, but I chose not to dwell on it. Whatever happened would happen.
All I wanted to concern myself with was my life at home—the people I cared for and appreciating each day as it came.
“I suspect Leanna is with child again,” Haden announced as he, Eryx, and I returned from morning meal. “She has the glow. And her breasts have become larger. Like melons.”
“Enough,” I said with a slight laugh, swatting him away. “I do not wish to hear of my sister’s breasts.”
Haden waggled his eyebrows. “What incredible breasts they are too.” It was Eryx who then swatted him. “Fine! I shall stop. However, I speak true about her being with child. When we lay together, I noticed her stomach felt firmer and it jutted a bit.”
