“Oh God, yeah,” I groaned through my teeth as he started thrusting hard and fast, his eyes burning as he stared down at me. “Oh yeah, fuck me. Fuck me—harder!”

I moaned incoherently as he sped up, fingers digging into my hips as he lifted me against him. I circled my hips frantically, legs wrapped around him as he pounded into me. His cock was thicker than Nathaniel’s and at least as long. If I weren’t so turned on, it might have hurt—but as it was, I was so slick and relaxed and hungry for him I pushed myself up onto his thick shaft eagerly with every thrust.

He fucked me fiercely, his eyes blazing, his breath coming in harsh pants, his hips pounding against mine as he worked himself into me with all his strength. I felt myself getting turned on again, my satisfaction increasing with every slap of his hips to mine, driving us closer and closer to climax.

I moaned his name, and he growled incoherently, then closed his eyes and threw his head back. The movements of his hips became frantic. His hoarse calls got louder with each thrust until they drowned out my sobs of pleasure. I ground against him desperately—and rose to climax again, squealing with bliss, while he drove into me as deep as he could and came.

He roared with pleasure, his dick jumping inside me, spurting so hard that I could feel it through the condom. “Yes!” he shouted triumphantly. “Yes!” And then my own cries joined his as I unraveled with ecstasy around him.

The intimate little steak place, with giant photos of the best parts of the Catskills in the full flower of summer and rippled red candle-lanterns on every table, was the perfect place for a date. And after what Blake had spent hours doing to me, I was ravenous.

We were most of the way through our steaks when Blake declared, “Before I forget, I need to update you on something involving Carmody.”

I tensed slightly, the luscious bite of prime rib in my mouth going dry. I swallowed hard. “What is it?”

His smile fled temporarily. “Thanks to some indiscretions this morning, he’s aware that we’re dating you. And he reacted badly.”

Oh God. Not this shit.I had been hoping that Carmody would never realize we were together. Then again, it was a small campus, and he was pledging Alpha Omega and probably trying to have me watched. “What should I do?”

He smiled and reached across the table, enfolding my hand in his own. “Don’t worry, we’re handling this. In the meantime, if he comes near you, just call us.”

“I’m putting you on speed dial, then.” I shuddered slightly, despite the reassuring pressure of my lover’s hand. “That guy, he makes me wish I owned a gun.”

“Well, we’ll be able to fast-track the conditional restraining order you wanted. And we’ll handle the rest. He’s losing followers by the day, especially after that coup you pulled in astrophysics.” He sounded proud, which made me warm all over. “I believe that being yourself, with your high standards and strong ethics, will win over the rest.”

“But Carmody, he’s nuts,” I breathed. “He doesn’t just hate women, he’s unstable and obsessed. You never really know what someone like that is going to do.”

“He’s a wimp. Once he loses all the freshmen he’s been stirring up, he’ll have no backup, and he’s hardly got the nerve to try anything himself. Marcus is paying him a visit tomorrow to settle things. Try not to worry.” He squeezed my hand again and then leaned back and let go to take up his wineglass. “Marcus can handle whatever Carmody tries to throw at him.”

I hoped to God he was right. But I didn’t let on about my doubts. I didn’t want to ruin our lovely date with anything having to do with Carmody. Doing so felt like it was handing him a victory, and that, I swore to myself, could never happen.

Meanwhile, I had an even bigger problem to deal with. How in the world was I going to juggle relationships with five guys, even if they knew about one another and were fine with it?

Falling for them—except maybe Jude—would not be a problem. But how could I keep up all those relationships without screwing up—or ending up hurt myself?

Chapter 18

Marcus

I knewsomething was up when I went to talk to Carmody at his dorm and discovered it stuffed full of guys I didn’t recognize.

I didn’t know if they were from off campus, or if they were just non-pledges I hadn’t run into yet. But every one of them turned his head when I walked into the common room where he had agreed to meet and gave me the dead-eyed stare of a guy who thought he was facing an enemy.

“So, one of you finally showed up to explain yourself,” Carmody declared as he sprawled spread-legged on one couch.

“No,” I answered, keeping my smile on. “I’m here to deliver a warning.”

One boy scoffed, and I turned to fix him with a stare. He was wearing a backward red ball cap and a T-shirt with a goddamn Guy Fawkes mask on it. “Did you go recruiting edge lords at the local high school or something?” I sneered, annoyed, as he wilted slightly under my gaze.

“It’s none of your business where my supporters come from!” Carmody bellowed. “Say what you have to say and then go scuttling back to that bitch who is keeping your balls in her purse.”

A chuckle ran around the room. I narrowed my eyes. “Fine, if you’re going to be a little shit about it. The warning is this. Your constant escalation of harassment against Sabine is about to get you in some serious trouble if you don’t stop. She’s filing an emergency protection order against you, and she’s already informed us that the next time any of you step over the line with her, she’s involving the police.”

The chuckling stopped dead, and Carmody closed his mouth with a meaty sound as he went a few shades paler. His smug expression wilted and died. “She wouldn’t. That would get you and her other fucktoys in trouble.”

Anger boiled inside me at his insults against me, my fraternity brothers, and Sabine, but I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of raising my voice. “As usual, you have it backward. You’re not affiliated with Alpha Omega, so if you end up in jail for harassment or assault, it will be easy to deny any connection to you. You’re just a pledge, Carmody. You’re not even fraternity material. The only reason we have allowed you to camp out on our waiting list is because of daddy’s money.”

I paused before adding, “You also have it backward with Sabine.”
