I knew not to call her out in front of everyone. I respected my place in the club. Besides she had every right to call me out on my shit.
I had a lot of it on me at the moment.
I walked to the door of the safe room and punched in the code. Once inside, I turned on the lights and waited for my eyes to adjust.
Anna and Olivia entered behind me.
Patrina stayed outside near the bikes.
I stood with my back against the workbench. My arms crossed over my chest.
“So, Josey has a big mouth.” I nodded.
Anna smiled. She had pretty teeth.
“The biggest.” She nodded, grabbed a chair, and sat down. She crossed her legs, leaned forward, and crossed her arm over her knee.
“Speaking of big.” Olive chimed in and closed the door behind her.
“Oh God.” I held my forehead. Josey didn’t hold anything back.
“Before we get into specifics, I need to know.” Anna held her hand out. “Are you in any danger?”
“I don’t know how to answer that?”
She sighed.
“From him. From Mason Scott?”
“No, God, no.” I held onto the bench for something solid to keep my voice and my brain focused.
“Not even from his big fat —” Olivia wiggled her eyebrows.
I giggled. My cheeks grew hot.
“Olive.” Anna frowned in her direction. “Let’s keep this civilized.”
“Sorry.”
Anna was the only one who kept the VP in check.
“You tell him about Cason?” Anna leaned back in the chair.
“Yeah.” I grabbed the other chair and sat down facing them. “He’s not happy I kept it from him.”
“And loves you for it.” She nodded.
“Something like that.”
“So, he knows everything?” Anna asked.
I’d had not told anyone the whole truth except Justice and Anna. I assumed she told some of the upper tier of the club for their safety.
“I told him everything. He wants me to keep my head down and stay out of sight.” I shook my head.
“Pussy.” Olivia said.
“That’s what I said.” I held out my fist and Olivia bumped it.
