It was my turn to glare.

She rolled her eyes and stood up. She paced in front of me.

“You were all ready to take off before.” I rubbed my face. I could smell her on my fingers. “Why not now?”

“Before, I didn’t have any support. I thought it would be the four of us and I could live with that, but now, I have my club, people who will go to war with me if I asked. I’m not walking away from that because your father is an psychopath who kills his own child because it serves a purpose.”

I watch her pace. I wasn’t sure she even realized she didn’t have a stitch of clothing on.

She had a little tattoo on her torso, a black and grey set of wings.

Her mocha skin looked like it would taste decadently sweet.

She pushed her curly hair out of her face and stared down at me.

“What?” She held her hands out.

Her tits shook as she tapped her foot.

I shook my head and a thought popped in my head.

“What do you mean serves a purpose?” My eyes crunched together.

Her eyes grew narrow.

“Mattie said going after the Vipers President’s son would send a message, but when he failed, they would come after him to set things right again.” She crossed her arms over her chest. “My crew thinks your father is working with the Vipers. Maybe he made a deal with them?”

“How would killing Mattie set things straight?”

“I don’t know Mase, it’s your fucking gang.” She pointed at me.

“Club.”

“No, I belong to a club,” She pointed at me. “You belong to a gang.”

I grabbed her hand and bent it.

“Ouch.” She yanked it away.

I laughed pulled her to me.

“Social club.” I ran my hands up her legs.

She pinched the skin around my jugular vein.

“Ouch.” I cocked my head.

A move I taught her to use if a guy got too close.

“We need to fuck his shit up, Mase.” She whined.

“You’ve played out some whole revenge, redemption story in your head Gracie, but it won’t work.” I leaned back. “This isn’t some movie. This is real life with real guns. Real people who you care about could get hurt. You ready to rally them into a war just because you’re pissed?”

She frowned and looked off.

“He can’t get away with it.” She wiped the tears from her eyes.

“If you hang around, he will find out you are still alive and he very well will have to kill me before I let him lay a hand on you.”
