“Welcome to the BlueLine Podcast.For those who don’t know, I’m Tom West, and along with Matt Rebel, here to talk about everything Las Vegas Desert Coyotes related.Tonight your Las Vegas Coyotes play the Edmonton Breakers.Coach Murry confirmed Julian Silver will be back in the lineup after almost a week off due to concussion protocol.There was no morning skate, so the first we’ll see him back on the ice is tonight.What do you think this game will look like, Matt?”
“Bad.Putting Silver back in on that first is only going to ruin the momentum the Coyotes have managed to build up these past couple games.Dima Dmitriev has been a great addition to that line.They brought Schmitt up from the AHL.He looks good.Both players are young and cheaper than old man Silver, who is eating up a lot of the salary cap.These last couple games have proven they don’t need Silver.”
“Momentum?The game against Texas the Coyotes won in overtime.And Blais is struggling to find chemistry with Dima.They barely beat Minnesota with a 2-1 victory.These are not high scoring games.And the only reason they didn’t lose was because Abramov’s game was spectacular.The offense is not scoring.”
“Blais needs to realize he is replaceable and learn to play with other players.Silver’s age is starting to show.He’s being held together by athletic tape and his strap.And the only thing Vegas needs Julian Silver for is to sell jerseys to the ladies.”
