Becca smirked as I expected her to, but she nodded. She obviously knew who I was, and she knew his game. “Here’s your drink, boss.”

“Boss?” he questioned. “You must bet the night manager.”

I wasn’t able to speak, because the familiar tatted hand gripped my drink and took it to his lips within the same moment that he stepped into my space.

“We hang up phones now?” he asked once he set my drink down and gave me eye contact.

Immediately, I was smiling at him. I wanted to jump into his arms, but I just admired his fine ass. He wore an annoyed expression that only made him sexier. He was the only man who brought out the childish, toxic shit from me. “I thought you were busy.”

“I was but never enough not to come straighten yo’ ass out.” He firmly helped me from my seat before looking over at the bartender. “Have somebody bring her another ginger ale to her office. He ushered me to my office before opening the door, and we both stepped in.

I leaned back against my desk, just looking at him as if I hadn’t just seen him that morning.

“You’re beautiful as fuck with yo’ spoiled ass.” He walked over and took a seat at my desk, loosening his tie. “C’mere.”

I didn’t disagree with him. I probably was spoiled where he was concerned, but that was what he got for spoiling me with his time. I walked over, and he pulled me into his lap.

“This what you wanted right? For me to come in here and be all in yo’ space.”

I giggled. “Not true. I just wanted to know how late you’d be for dinner.”

“So you nut up?” He buried his nose in my neck before his lips pressed against it.

I jumped a little because it tickled a little. “No. I…”

“Fuck outta here. What you wanna—” The knock on my door got our attention.

I stood and went to the door, and it was one of my waitresses with the replacement ginger ale that he ordered after he drankmine up. I took the drink and thanked her before closing the door.

“Why are you drinking ginger ale?” His eyes were on me, and he was concerned. He was giving me that hard stare that held not a wink of amusement.

“Because I feel like I need to burp, like something is caught in my chest.” I shrugged it off. “Is that okay, dad?”

“Smart-ass.”

“So what are you doing here?” I glanced at him from across the room.

“I decided to conduct my business right here since you wanna play that spoiled shit. Don’t hang no more fucking phones up either. If you do, I’ma break ya shit and get you one of those fucking pagers.”

“And who said you could take over my office?” I asked as I walked around my desk and grabbed my phone.

“I did when you started yo’ shit, and ain’t nobody taking over yo’ office. You can come sit on my lap while I handle my business, baby.”

I cracked up laughing. “I’ll pass. Are you hungry?” I was over my little sour mood.

He nodded his head as I heard a knock at the door. “Those buttered garlic parmesan wings that you bring to the house.”

I nodded my head and approached the door. “I’ll go order them while you do whatever.” When I opened the door, it was my brother and two other dudes.

“What are you doing here, Reg?” Amil asked immediately. He was taking me in like a concerned parent. The other two guys stepped past us while my brother stood in the small hallway. There were two doors and another doorway. One door was to my office, the other was to another office that I had set up like a lounge for when I had Kale there, and the other was the breakroom for the employees.

“Have you forgotten that this is my place of business?”

“Yeah, but right now, ain?—”

“Wassup, sis? I knew it was a reason this nigga jumped out of his skin to get to this motherfucker. Lane should be on her way here in a few. Ya boy fucked up my plans, moving this meeting up.” Taurus came down the narrow hallway. He kissed my cheek like usual and stepped through the open door to my office.

My brother stared at me in astonishment. “How do you… Never mind. We’ll talk after this.” He stepped into the office, and I continued down the hall to find a waiter. Once I did, I put the order in for his and my wings. I made my way toward the lounge. I didn’t wanna be all in Savior’s face while he handled whatever business he had, so I went and chilled elsewhere. It wasn’t long before Lane was calling me and telling me she was up front. My little spoiled moment with Savior had affected everybody.
