That brought a smile to my face. “I love you too. Now get some sleep.” Once we finished talking and she hung up, I slipped my phone into my back pocket and continued to look out at the water. It was beautiful while the sun was attempting to set. That was one of those views that definitely put you in a mental euphoria.
“Beautiful, ain’t it?” he questioned from behind me.
“Very.” I turned around, and he was walking toward me with two drinks. I took the drink from him and looked him over. He looked much more comfortable than he did earlier. “Do you do this sort of thing often?” I found myself asking, I guess my nosiness got the best of me.
He laughed and turned his face toward mine. “Nah. I don’t much like people in my space.” That was hard to believe, considering the fact that he was all in mine.
I nodded and looked away from him back toward the water, but I could still feel his eyes on me. “Why do you always stare at me for so long like you have some deep ass question to ask?” I didn’t bother looking in his direction for an answer until I realized that he was quiet for too long. When I finally did look at him, he was looking at me like I was a meal. He had his teeth buried in his bottom lip.
“I just like looking at yo’ face, even though it pisses me off that yo’ smart ass mouth is attached to it.”
I set the glass of brown liquor down before just looking at him. Again, I didn’t know what to say, but that time, I didn’t have to, because before I could even form a smart remark. His lips had covered mine.See? This is what I meant about the space thing.
When he pulled back, he looked from my lips to my eyes before a smirk formed on his face. “Maybe I do fancy your smart-ass mouth.” He tossed his drink back with ease before stepping in my space again. That time, his hands found my hips and pulled me into him. Within seconds, I was airborne, and he was carrying me off the deck of the boat.
Once he let me down, he fell back onto the bed and just peered at me. The way Savior looked at me had me wanting to be nasty. He had a way of looking at me that let me know he saw everything, and it had me hot.
“What you standing over there for?” he asked as he rested his head on his arms and just looked at me.
Instead of walking over and mounting him like I wanted to, I walked toward what I assumed was the washroom, and I turned the shower on. I stripped from everything I was wearing and hopped in. He finally got the hint, and before I knew it, I felt hishand on my side as he turned me around before his hand went to my neck. I was never one for that choking shit, but his hands around my neck gave me touch courage. In a swift movement, I was in his arms, and my legs were wrapped around his back.
No words needed to be spoken because actions were the only things permitted. He wanted to feel me just like I wanted to feel him. The moment I felt him at my opening, the familiarity of his touch seeped into my pores, and I buried my face in his neck.
“Don’t hide, Reg.” He taunted as soon as he pushed himself inside of me.
“I…” My sentence trailed off because my mind immediately went blank. There was no way that much pleasure existed, and it didn’t come with a consequence. Savior handled my body like it belonged to him and then dared me to say it didn’t. I didn’t even know if I was of sound mind and body with the way he was hitting me. All I knew was I couldn’t see myself anywhere else but right there. He was fucking more than infatuation out of his system.
I woke up the next morning with nothing but sun beaming in my face. The space was simply beautiful, and the visions from last night made it ten times better. Who knew one man had so much energy and patience. Climbing out of bed, I wrapped the cover around my nakedness and just looked out the window facing the blinding sun. It was simply fucking beautiful, along with the tattooed backside of the man who had damn near rocked me to sleep last night. As the memories zipped through my head, I turned to walk toward the washroom to take care of my morning hygiene.
Once I was finished, I returned to the cabin, where he stood talking on his phone. “I hear you, Taurus, shit. I should be back that way by the morning.” He took a seat on the bed, and I could feel his dark eyes on me as he continued his conversation.
I didn’t even look in his direction. I was too busy trying to find something to put on other than the sheet that I was currently dragging around. I went to move past him when I felt his hand at my side.
“A’ight. I’ma hit you back in a few.” He didn’t even give the person on the other side of the phone a chance to respond, because he had already removed it from his ear and tossed it on the bed. Both of his hands were on my hips, and he was bringing me closer to him. “You know why I chose to proposition you in the middle of Lake Michigan?”
I tucked my lip and shook my head.
“I’m a man used to being in control of everything around me, but that day in your place, I wasn’t. That day, you were, and I didn’t feel that shit at all.” His hand gripped the sheet before pulling it from my waist and soon my entire body. He sat there on the bed just looking at my naked frame as he dropped the sheet between us on the floor. I still had yet to speak because the moment was too thick, and I damn sure didn’t know what to say. Seconds later, his hands began to caress my body, prompting me to close my eyes and tilt my head up at the ceiling. His touch was intoxicating to say the least.
“If you have to be in control of everything, then you must be very bored with your life because there’s no surprise.” I looked down at him.
“Is that right?” he questioned before standing and getting in my face.
I tilted my head and looked at him. “Yup.”
“A nigga found a little surprise, but she owes me money.” He winked in my direction. Seconds later, he pulled his shirt fromhis body and handed it to me. “Put that on. I’d hate to have to knock one of my employees off because they got caught up focusing on the wrong thing.”
Once I had the shirt on, I went to put on the shorts that he so kindly had laying out for me, but he snatched and tossed them across the room.
“I’m tryna fuck throughout the day, which means I need easy access. My shirt is long enough for yo’ short ass.” He reached for my hand and led me onto the deck, where a picnic was set up with several plates of food. There was no way two people could eat all of that, but I planned to enjoy trying.
“Why did you come back to Chicago?” he questioned.
“I figured it was time to face all of the demons that I left here. Plus, I promised my father that I’d come back.”
He nodded his head. “So not because you wanted to irk a nigga’s nerves.” His eyes were on mine while he chewed his food. I knew he was joking because of the amusement in his face.
I laughed and pushed his shoulder. “I didn’t even know you, and no, you’re the one irking nerves.”
