I tried to sit up but found myself falling back to the bed.

“But trust me, I do have friends in Rio who would love to meet a man like you.” She moved up the bed and freed my cock, wrapping her hand around the stiff rod. “I will say I’m entirely impressed that you can still get it up.” Teasingly, she moved her hand up and down, her mouth inches from the head. “And I must admit I’m very curious about something.”

“You and me both.” I managed to raise my hand and run my fingers through her hair. “I want to fuck you.” The words were groggy but should have been perfectly clear.

She released my cock and then rolled me onto my stomach. I moaned as she crawled over me, straddling my waist. Her hands were strong against my back, her fingers kneading painfully into my muscles.

“Nice,” I said, moaning into the pillow.

Veronica leaned forward and planted her lips against my ear. She scooted back a bit and ground her crotch against my ass. “You should have left my father alone after you sent him to prison. You should have let him live out his life away from everyone else.” She pushed down harder against my ass and then moved several fingers between my cheeks. “Nice and tight.”

I pushed back against her, trying to throw her to the side, but my muscles protested, and I fell slack again. “This the only way you can handle me? Drugging me? You might as well shoot me because eventually, I’m going to switch places with you. I’m going to fuck you to the point you’re begging for mercy.”

“Sounds utterly exciting. Is that a promise or a threat?”

I clenched my jaws when she shoved two fingers into my ass.

“I will always be in control, Deacon. Keep that in mind. I’ve yet to reveal all my cards and, trust me, there’s nothing left in the deck for you to play. You will go to Rio with me. You will be with my friends, and you will beg me to end your life. But I won’t. You need to experience everything my father experienced.”

“You really fucking think I will let any of that happen? Really?”

“You’re going to be my bitch, Deacon.” She pushed her fingers deeper. She and Stephanie had been training together. She backed away and crawled from the bed.

“Why were you at the club?” I flipped over, my mind still in outer space, my body still not responding the way it should. “You were there for me.”

“Carlie and I have been friends for years.”

“But how did you know I was going there in the first place?”

“I had someone hack into both your phone and your car’s GPS. I’ve known every move you’ve made for the last six months.” She leaned against the door. “I also know you’ve been looking for your wife’s killer.”

“Then you know I’m going to get out of this and continue looking for her killer?” I shifted to my elbows, the drug she’d given me beginning to wear off. “I’m not like these sheep who follow you around.”

“True, but you will do what I tell you to for as long as I deem necessary. Until that time, you will do anything I tell you.”

I looked around the room at the feminine decorations. “This is your room.”

“It is. You’ll be staying with me so I can keep an eye on you.”

“And if I decide to kill you in your sleep?’

“You won’t.”

I chuckled. “You’re so fucking full of yourself. What makes you think I won’t?”

“Because I might have information about Suzanne’s disappearance.”
