Zack chuckled and sat in the seat beside mine, his eyes on me.
“What do you think I’ll do to her, bro? Corrupt her?”
It was way too late for that.
“Excuse me,” I said the second his knee bumped mine under the table, hearing Warren scolding his friend as I fled the room, shutting myself in my bedroom.
My heartbeat slammed against my ribcage as the realization hit me.
I’d spent the night getting fucked by one of Warren’s friends.
There was a knock on the door before it opened, and I expected Zack for some reason, but it was Kaye.
He frowned, closing the door behind him and coming over to sit on the edge of my bed.
“What’s wrong?”
“Why are you and Alec lying to Warren?” I hissed, his frown deepening.
“About what?”
“Watching me last night.”
“We didn’t lie.”
“You did.”
“Rose,” he murmured, his voice becoming more quiet as he reached out to take my hand, giving it a small squeeze. “We were with you all night.”
“No you—” My voice died in my throat as he kept eyeing me, his cheeks tinged with pink. “Oh my God. You, Alec, and Zack were the masked guys?”
“It wasn’t supposed to turn into that. We were just going to chase you a little to prove a point about wandering off. Alec was convinced you’d be tempted to follow a stranger into the woods, so we had Zack lure you out to avoid you suspecting us. We didn’t plan on, well, that,” he explained, his hand not leaving mine. “Are you okay this morning? You had a cut on your kneeand thigh so we helped you in the shower and I put ointment on it before putting you to bed.”
My mind was reeling, and I glanced up when Alec appeared in the doorway.
“Keep it down, I could hear you from down the hall,” he warned as he shut and locked the door behind him, coming over to join us. I flinched as he squatted at my feet and started rolling up my sweat pants to inspect my knee, my voice coming out as a squeak.
“You hate me.”
“No, I don’t.” My breath stuttered when he leaned forward to kiss the side of my knee, his eyes flicking up to mine as he kissed a little higher where the knife had cut me.
“Why did you fuck me like you hate me then?”
There was a pause before he grinned, his voice full of amusement. “You assume the rough one was me? I’m a gentle lover, Rose.”
Kaye’s face was so red, and he swallowed nervously as I looked at him with confusion.
“You’rethe one that pushed me to the ground and railed me?” I asked in surprise, hating how he pulled away from me.
“I’m sorry. I?—”
“Don’t be sorry,” I said quickly, grabbing his shirt when he went to stand. “I liked it.”
“Told you,” Alec chuckled, giving his friend a pointed look.
“Who, uh, fisted me?” I asked awkwardly, getting my answer when Kaye winced. “I didn’t think I’d like it, but I don’t think I’ve ever come so hard in my life. If you were the rough guy, that means Alec was the sweet one?”
Alec stood, his fingers moving to my chin to tilt my head up. “I’m a really nice guy when I want to be. You were such a good girl.”
