I follow him outside and yep, there it is.
Honk if you think I bought this car to compensate for my small dick.
I have to admit I have calligraphy skills. I can read it very clearly on his parked car. He turns toward me, hands balled at the sides, jaw ticking, eyes spitting fire.
“Pissing each other off occasionally is our thing,” I remind him.
“Occasionally?” he snarls.
“You covered my bedroom walls with pics of spiders…mating!” I shudder, we are still sleeping at his place, because I can’t find the courage to go bring those down.
“Because you covered my office in Post-Its,” he retorts.
“You also unleashed a spider in the bathroom while I was showering! I lost a year of my life on top of ripping the shower curtain.”
“I didn’t unleash any spider. You keep leaving your windows open!” He lets out a growl full of frustration and runs a hand through his just-fucked messy hair.
Okay, maybe the spider was an accidental unwanted visitor. “You’re mad.”
“I’m not mad and I’ll tell you whyI amso damn mad,” he barks while I’m trying to smother a smile. Fuck, I love this and him so much.
“Because you are so fucking infuriating!” he says with great affection underneath his harsh words—I’m sure.
“Don’t forget stunning,” I say weakly, backing up slowly while he prowls toward me with killing intents in his eyes.
“And obnoxious,” he keeps going.
“Charming?”
“Don’t kill him please, not before my wedding. He’s the officiant. Then all bets are off,” my traitorous brother calls from the shop’s threshold.
I glare at him. “Can you feel my love, Jordzilla?”
“Sarcasm duly noted,” he annoyingly answers back.
“Idiotic man-child!” Cole finishes name-calling me, grabs my neck and pushes his nose to mine. My hand goes up and my finger rubs against his wedding ring, liking the feel and meaning of it.
“Your idiotic man-child,” I remind him, feeling my body responding to his dominating demeanor.
“They are so cute together…in a certifiable, let’s-throw-away-the-key kind of way,” I hear Mel teasing us, but whatever follows is lost in the heated, exasperated, and affectionate way Cole is looking at me.
Our love might have had a bumpy start, a confusing development, and a winding continuation but I won’t have it any other way. It’s uniquely us.
“How can I love you so fucking much and want to throttle you at the same time?” he hisses before shaking his head.
“I hate that I love you so fucking much, too, Satan.” I smirk at him before capturing his lips.
