“Right back atcha, big guy.” I smirked at him, licking my lips clean. And then gasped when a noisy, hard spank hit my left cheek. And fuck if I didn’t want more.

“Fucking tease,” he grunted.

Even now, just the memory of it is making me hard again. And I can’t sport wood in front of my friends. Sam and I came to Ink Me to meet Daniel and Jordie before going to AM&PM. The fact that it’s Russel’s brother’s place isn’t helping me from not thinking about him. I try to distract myself by looking around. The white sofas are empty. There’s nobody behind the reception. Did Kaiden fire another receptionist?

“Looking sharp, Mel,” Jordie says, coming out of Kaiden’s room.

My tight sparkly grey shorts and white see-through tank top is one of my favorite outfits. With my silver headband in place, dark blue velvet clutch, and Ferragamo leather lace-ups I feel like Cinder-fucking-rella.

I wink at him and take a slow spin to show him my glorious ensemble. “Dress to impress you said on the phone.”

Jordie organized this outing. Only us girls, no boyfriends—my mind goes to Russel…like he’d ever see me that way. No big guys tonight. Except for Sam. He isn’t as hulkingly massive as Pete and Asher, but he’s still substantially oversized compared to little twinky me. Jordie is taller than me, and he has a lean but impressively muscular body. His dark red head and all those freckles make more than one head turn his way.

“Nothing to say about me?” Sam asks, doing the same spin but in a much less graceful way. His brown cargo shorts and black t-shirt with a small beer label on his pec are the best clothes that he owns. Which is not much by the size of his duffle bag. Understandable since he’s been traveling around for years. But we never lost contact. Always know everything about each other. Or at least the most important parts. And the fact that I didn’t tell him about Russel, or tell any of them, is killing me.

Jordie and Daniel have welcomed me after my last disastrous relationship. And in Garret, I’ve found a kind and hilarious friend. It doesn’t feel right to keep it from them. But it was one of the conditionswestipulated…

“You’re surprisingly handsome, despite the lack of effort you put into your appearance,” Jordie states, looking Sam up and down. He’s not only brawny, but he has the most beautiful grey eyes and an easy smile that attract women like bees to a flower. It’s a pity he always goes for the wrong ones.

“Thank you very much. Less is more, I always say.” He bows with a dramatic wave of his hand.Such a ridiculous man.I missed him terribly. Hope he’ll stay a bit longer this time.

“Not in fashion,” I interject.

“I think he looks great.” Daniel walks out of his room and fuck! He’s stunning. Skinny black jeans that wrap around him like a second skin. A tight dark grey t-shirt tucked haphazardly in his pants with a large collar exposing the smooth pale skin of his left shoulder. His straight, shiny brown hair is falling around his shoulders like he just came from a hairdresser, and his deep blue eyes look huge thanks to the black eyeliner surrounding them.

“Wow!” Sam’s awe is clear in his voice…and since he’s straight, even more meaningful.

“Daniel, what did you do to your eyes?” Jordie asks, taking a step closer to his friend.

“Garret showed me how to emphasize them with a bit of makeup.”

Garret could transform the ugly duckling into Grace fucking Kelly using his little vanity-whore bag—he named my crap bag, so it was only fair I named his.

“It’s a pity he isn’t coming tonight. I’d like him to learn how to do it as well,” Jordie huffs.

“He’s working late at the clinic.”

“Again?” Daniel frowns, adjusting one of his AirPods. He always listens to music. It helps him to focus or something like that.

“Oh shit! Please tell me Pete didn’t see you in those clothes,” Kaiden suddenly exclaims from behind us.

Daniel frowns at him. “No, I changed here. Why? Is there something wrong with me?” He looks down at himself with a critical eye.

I hear the distinctive click of a camera and see Kaiden holding out his phone in front of Daniel.

“What are you doing?” I scold him because I know he’s up to no good.

“The betting pool is open. Twenty green says Pete is going to join you at the bar one hour after I show him this pic.” In the picture, Daniel looks deliciously confused and incredibly yummy.

Pete is freaking protective of Daniel and very possessive. If Kaiden shows him that picture Pete won’t waste a second before coming to get his boyfriend.

“What?” Daniel gasps.

“Kai! This evening is only for us. No boyfriends,” Jordie whines.

“Come on, Beautiful Mind. You know perfectly well that Asher will take that as the perfect excuse to come as well.”

Jordie rolls his eyes, but we all can clearly see the small smile tilting his lips.
