Mel squeezes past Jordan and Asher and sashays over, looking cute and sexy at the same time in white pants and a purple silk tank top. Jordan smirks as he eyes Mel, slinking up to me and rubbing his body along mine. I kiss his nose and curl one arm around his waist. It feels so fucking good to be able to touch him in front of everybody.

Kaiden invited us for pizza night with the guys working at Ink Me, along with his brother and Asher. There’s Sally as well, his neighbor.

I didn’t have to work today. Once upon a time, that would have caused uneasiness, but that was before Mel. Now on weekends I just relax with him. We mostly fuck, but we like to chill on the beach, go for long strolls with the dogs, and discover new restaurants together. I’m trying to teach him the art of food, which he loves, while Mel takes me to my brother’s bar or out with his—or should I say our—group of friends. Hence our dinner gathering tonight.

Scott has a soft spot for him. I know it. Mel knows it. But my brother pretends otherwise.

Next week I’ll introduce him to my whole family. He’s a bit squeamish about it, since his experience with relatives is like a scene from the movieReady or Not—as Mel mentioned a couple of times. But my mom and pop are the best, they didn’t bat an eye when I told them I have a boyfriend. And that’s why they will change Mel’s mind, because they are going to love him.

Mel turns and plasters his back to my front, tucking my cock between his juicy ass cheeks. Then he lifts his hand, handing me a beer. The gesture is sweet, but it’s the tissue wrapped around the bottle that makes my chest ache. And in that moment, I know without a doubt that Mel is it for me. My one.

He sees me and gets me. All my crazy, obsessive pieces.

“Russel, your dog is humping one of my sofa cushions! Do you really have to bring him everywhere?” Kaiden yells, pointing at the horny little monster.

“Banner.” Hearing my voice, he stops and trots toward me and Mel.

“I already have to put up with him almost every day when he sneaks inside my shop,” Kaiden whines.

“Who’s a good boy,” Mel praises him. “Keep bugging Uncle Kaiden and I’ll give you all the cookies you want.”

Yes, I have a dog, but I don’t see swine flying outside. So, it’s not such a major life change—contrary to whatever Scott says. I adopted Banner. Not for Mel. The tiny fucker wore me down. I donated half of the money I had left from my uncle’s inheritance to the shelter. And Nell invited me more than once to show me the changes they were doing. Banner kept standing on his hind legs, wagging that long tail at me, and crying every time I left. So I brought him home. Another action out of my comfort zone that turned out to be kind of good. I also may have become the shelter accountant. My work is of course free of charge. And even though I explained this is good for me—tax deductions and all—Nell and Mel paint me like a damn saint. I just did all of it to show my boyfriend how much I love him—that was my grandiose gesture. I didn’t expect anything in return. But I have to admit the gratitude he’s showing me when we are in bed is very, very, very welcome.

I kiss his thick mane, smiling at the red headband peeking among the strands.

“Keep coming to my shop and I will serve everybody a nice Chinese Kung Pao…Chicken,” Kaiden smiles evilly at Banner, slicing his throat with his finger.

“We can always add tiny raisin testicles to the dish,.” Mel snorts, staring at Kaiden’s groin.

He grabs his junk through his black jeans in one hand. “Many people can attest I have some elephant hereditary genes.”

“Sally?” Pete asks and everybody turns her way. They fucked?

“Fuck you, Pete!” she says.

“Still can’t believe you had sex with him,” Jordan mutters.

“Once and it doesn’t count because I don’t remember anything.”

“Because I blew your mind to pieces.” Kaiden winks at her.

“And my self-respect, too,” she mumbles. “But wait I’m having a sudden flash, a memory…yes. He has raisin-sized testicles.”

Laughs and chuckles erupt in the room.

Kaiden flips her off. A knock comes from the front door. So, Kaiden heads for it.

“That must be the pizza.” Daniel jumps up and down excitedly from his position on Pete’s lap.

And I’m already imagining all that melted mozzarella, rucola, tomatoes and mushrooms landing inside my mouth, when a very familiar blond head appears at the door. His suit looks a bit wrinkled and he seems tired, but he’s finally back. Cole looks around the room, behind Kaiden, waving two fingers at everybody. A nod and smile my way.

“Vade retro, Satan!” Kaiden crosses his two index fingers in front of his face.

Cole raises an exasperated eyebrow at him. “Make me.” Then he challenges him.

Kaiden stiffens and then grumbles. “What do you want, Lucifer?”

“I always thought the cat from Cinderella looked so fluffy,” Mel interjects.
