A moan vibrated in her chest. Her breasts ached, a swelling heaviness to them, and her nipples tingled, hardening to peaks so stiff they almost burned. Feverish waves of heat swept over her repeatedly. When Kazzon finally brushed his tongue around her pulsing clit, she jerked upon the bed and cried out.
Blinding pleasure consumed her. She gasped for breath as he circled her nubbin with the perfect amount of pressure. He placed two fingers at her aching entrance and started pushing inside. She felt very full and teetered closer to something, to some sweet oblivion that promised more, a strange elusive finality. If he only kept tending to her clit for a second or two longer…
White hot pleasure exploded, and she undulated against his mouth, dragging her nails over his scalp and holding him close as she shattered to pieces. She surrendered to the delicious sensations rushing through her, and when the final pulsating remnant of euphoria faded, she floated in the calm weightlessness of mind-numbing contentment.
Vaguely, she became aware of a huge warm body curled up next to her. Her eyes fluttered open—when had she closed them?—and she peered at Kazzon. Heat suddenly seared her cheeks, the first inkling of embarrassment.
What had she done?
She tried to turn over, but he reached for her and gathered her close to his chest. She had no choice but to rest in his big muscular arms and listen to the steady beating of his heart. Rough skin scraped her cheek as she shifted in his embrace.
Everything about Kazzon was rough and hard and intimidating.
And yet she’d lost all control, coming apart as he lapped at her clit and shoved his fingers into her pussy. She had surrendered to a Tarrkuan, even though she’d once hoped to escape this fate.
He stroked her hair, drawing his fingers gently through her locks. His masculine scent surrounded her, an enticing pine woodsy scent that made her want to nestle closer to him and breathe long and deep. She followed her instincts, unable to resist. God, she couldn’t get enough of him, this stranger who still made her very, very nervous.
Her life was about to change forever. She would leave Earth soon, bid goodbye to her family and friends—well, she hoped he still allowed her to say her farewells—never to see New Leesburg or its inhabitants again. But his next words took her by complete surprise and helped chase away her present worries.
“I am not sure you are aware, but my duties as ambassador bring me to Earth at least once a year,” he said, now drawing lazy circles over her back, his touch eliciting goosebumps and little shivers. “If you would like, you may accompany me on my trips to Earth, and, as long as time permits, you can visit your parents and brother.”
Her heart thudded to a stop. She lifted her head and looked at him, hope brimming in her chest. “Are you serious?” She searched his black eyes for any hint of deception but was stunned to see a glimmer of kindness in his otherworldly gaze.
He brought her hand to his lips and placed fluttering kisses over her fingers. Warmth spread throughout her, and she shuddered in place as fresh waves of pleasure built in her core.
“Yes, I am serious.” He regarded her with a curious intensity that stilled her breath. “Would that please you, little human?”
“More than you could ever know.” Gratitude filled her and she found herself smiling at him. “Thank you,Xerr.”
“You are most welcome, Caylee. Contrary to what you might have believed, it is not my intention to keep you separated from your family. You will be permitted to speak with them regularly via a video comm—I have one in my home you will be free to use as you wish—and I will be happy to see you reunited with your parents and brother when my duties require a trip to Earth.”
She held his gaze, unable to look away. The tenderness that shone in his dark eyes was both mesmerizing and touching. “We barely know one another,” she said shyly, “yet you are showing me this kindness. Why?” Given the way she’d treated him initially, she had expected him to be standoffish and perhaps cruel at times. She’d definitely expected him to display indifference when it came to helping her remain in contact with her family. Perhaps her initial impression of Kazzon was wrong.
He cupped her face in one hand, his dark eyes glittering in the overhead lights that splashed a warm golden hue over the entire room, as well as his naked body. Her pulse quickened and she parted her lips slightly, thinking he meant to kiss her. But instead, he finally answered her question, and his response left her shaken.
“Your happiness and wellbeing are of the utmost importance to me.”
“But why?”Whydid her contentment matter to him one bit? They were strangers and he’d forced her to marry him. She’d assumed all he cared about was getting her pregnant as many times as possible. Wasn’t that what all Tarrkuan males who claimed human brides wanted? A female to treat as both a broodmare and a servant?
“Because you are my mate, Caylee.” He drew in a deep breath and his stare intensified. “Because you aremy wife.”
Chapter 14
Kazzon had never embraceda female before. Not in the same tender way he was currently holding Caylee. He found he liked having her in his arms. He also liked placing soft kisses on her cheeks and stroking his hands through her silken hair. It brought him a warm contentment unlike anything he’d ever experienced before.
He reached down and trailed a hand over her bottom, giving it a squeeze that made her gasp. The slightest markings remained on her flesh, a lingering blush on her otherwise pale cheeks.
“Are you sore from your spanking, little human?” Another squeeze.
She ducked her head down, avoiding his gaze. “Um, only a little.” She attempted to roll away, so he could no longer reach her bottom, but he prevented the movement.
He caressed her backside and allowed his fingers to travel near her crevice. Her breaths became unsteady and she squirmed. A pungent but sweet aroma reached his nostrils. He inhaled deep and a growl resounded in his chest.
He lifted an eyebrow at her. “Are you becoming achy between your thighs again?” he asked.
A violent shake of her head followed. “No,Xerr. I am not.” Shame laced her hastily delivered response, and a dark mist soon floated around her face.
“You little liar,” he said, suddenly turning her onto her stomach. Keeping a firm hand pressed to her lower back, he held her down when she struggled. With his free hand, he rubbed his flattened palm over her pinkened bottom cheeks, then delivered a very light smack. “I ought to punish you for lying, Caylee.”
