ADRIAN: Please tell me why your sister needed to corner me at work today and give me the third degree?
JESSE: I’m going to need you to elaborate
ADRIAN: And I quote… “and don’t worry—what happens in the barn, stays in the barn.”
JESSE: Fuck.
JESSE: I’m sorry
JESSE: I’ll kill her—I mean I’ll talk to her
ADRIAN: I’ll definitely get fired if you kill your sister
JESSE: My family has a problem with boundaries
ADRIAN: You want casual and to be honest, I’m really looking for more, so this shouldn’t matter to me…
JESSE: But…
Staring at the screen,I blow out a breath because I knew when I sent that first text that I’d already made up my mind.
ADRIAN: But right now I just want to be inside you
JESSE: You mean fuck me out of your system
ADRIAN: That too
JESSE: Where are you?
ADRIAN: About to go into the gym
Lookingup at the building in front of me, I huff out a laugh. I thought I could run hard enough, lift enough to alleviate the need coursing through my veins.
But I can’t.
Because like it or not, Jesse Sterling is exactly what I want, exactly what I need, and I’m going to keep him for as long as I can.
JESSE: Text me when you’re home
ADRIAN: I will. And Jesse?
JESSE: What?
ADRIAN: That’s the last time you get to boss me around tonight
JESSE: That better be a promise
ADRIAN: You know damn well it is

My head is spinning by the time Adrian finally texts me that he’s home.What is it about this guy that makes me lose my mind?
It’s a question I’ve been trying to answer since he walked into the room at Mountain Side Salon and Spa. A part of me is scared that we could be something more—that I’d be an idiot not to dive in headfirst with Adrian, consequences be damned.
But the other part, the safer part, is sure it’s just because he’s so good in bed so I know he’ll give me exactly what I need.
