“And the look on your face says you’re about two seconds from canceling that dolphin excursion and running back inside,” she said with a little laugh. “And before you fix your mouth to lie, that excitement in your eyes tells an entirely different story.”
Busted. He threw his head back and roared with laughter. “Yeah, well, I can wait until later.”
“More like as soon as we get back,” Mia muttered, but she was smiling.
“We can work out together.”
“Nooo, we cannot. You see those loungers over there? That’s where I’ll be. I may decide to hop in the Jacuzzi for a short while and that’s theonlyworkout this body will get.”
Dwight slung an arm around her shoulders and kissed her temple. “Sounds like a plan.” He loved this woman. She’d brought the sunshine back to his life and he wanted to bask in it forever.
An hour later, they took a taxi to where the dolphin experience would be held. When Mia came out of the locker room in a two-piece black and white bikini that had crisscross panels on the bottoms that left slivers of her flat belly bare and one on the top that accentuated her full breasts, Dwight was tempted to drag her into a dark corner and show her just what the outfit did to him.
Mia did a slow turn. “Like it?”
He groaned inwardly as blood rushed to his groin. “Don’t tempt me, Mia.”
“A little temptation never hurt anyone.” She ran her hand down his bare chest, winked and strutted past him toward the bleachers.
Nope, I’m not going to make it another night.

After the trainers gave them a short introduction about the dolphins, they divided everyone into two small groups. Each Mia’s excitement rose the closer it came to her and Dwight’s turn. “You go first,” she said when the person in front of them got out.
“How about we go together?”
“Okay.” They waded into the water, felt the dolphin’s sleek skin, gave it a treat, and held the fins for a photo. She laughed when Dwight opted out of having the dolphin kiss his cheek, but she didn’t. Then the dolphin decided to splash her. “Hey!” Mia jerked back.
“This one’s pretty playful,” the trainer said with a chuckle.
She splashed it back. “Two can play this game.” Apparently, the dolphin had no problems with the game and kept doing it. The dolphin with the other group seemed to be far calmer. By the end of the encounter, she didn’t have a dry spot on her.
“The next time you get into a splashing war with a dolphin, let me know in advance so I can get out of the water first,” Dwight said on the way to the locker room. He laughed softly. “You are something else.”
“Hey, I didn’t start it.”
He lifted a brow. “You do hear yourself, right?”
Unable to hide her smile, Mia shook her head. “It’s okay to let the kid inside out every now and again.” But he had a point. She did sound like someone on an elementary school playground.
“Whatever you say. I’ll meet you out here when you’re dressed.”
In the locker room, she dried off, redressed and found Dwight near the kiosks searching for their photos.
“They came out pretty well,” he said, scrolling through each one. “Which ones do you want to get?”
“I really like these three.” She’d chosen one of them together with the dolphin and their individual shots.
He printed and paid for the pictures, then hailed a taxi.
“I know the perfect place we can go for lunch,” Mia said as she slid into the compact car. She leaned up and asked the driver to take them to Pipi’s, her favorite restaurant.
Dwight eyed her. “I take it you’ve been there before.”
“Yep. They have the best guacamoleever.” Several minutes later, the driver dropped them off at the corner restaurant with all its colorful flags. They’d missed the lunch rush and it didn’t take long for them to be seated. “They have so many varieties of margaritas.” Mia pointed to a sign on the wall listing all the flavors. “I’m going to have a mix of mango and pineapple.” She wiggled her eyebrows.
Dwight glanced over his shoulder. “I’m going to try the midori melon.” He studied the menu. “Everything looks good. I think I want the fajitas.”
