“Hey!” Mia said when Dwight splashed her. “What was that for?” They’d come over to the sport club to get in the water the next afternoon because there were less people around than at the resort’s pool.

“That’s payback for getting me splashed by the dolphin,” Dwight said, grinning.

“It wasn’t my fault that animal decided to act up.” She tossed a handful of water at him and he dodged it.

“Oh, so you want to play, huh?” He came toward her like a panther stalking its prey.

She backed away and held up her hands in surrender. “I don’t know what you’re thinking, but whatever it is it better not involve getting my hair wet again.” Mia left her swim cap in the room and planned to just chill in the shallow end for a while to cool off. She’d had to wash, blow dry and flatiron her hair after the whole dolphin incident and didn’t want to spend time doing it again.

“If you can’t pay, then you shouldn’t play.” He stopped, leaving mere inches between them.

Not waiting to see what he was going to do, she reached out and stroked him through his swimming trunks. “This issomuch better than splashing each other, don’t you think?” His body shuddered and he released a deep groan.

“Not unless you want everybody to get an eyeful.”

She took a lazy glimpse over her shoulder and shrugged, then slipped her hands inside his trunks beneath the water. His erection got larger as she continued to move her hand up and down his hardened length. “I don’t see anybody.” In fact, they were the only ones in the pool. Only two other people had been there and both left several minutes earlier. A soft gasp escaped her lips when he turned the tables and slid two fingers inside of her.

“Two can play this game, sweetheart. Do you want to play?”

Yes, yes, yes!her inner voice chanted, not caring that they were out in the open. The part of her who’d never even kissed a man in public screamed that she should put a stop to it, but the rhythm being played between her thighs drowned out the sane advice. “I want to play.”

Dwight withdrew his fingers, swept her into his arms and strode purposely up the steps and out of the pool. He carried Mia down a secluded path into the shelter of the trees. Shifting her, he moved her panties to the side and entered her with one deep thrust.

Mia threw her head back and closed her eyes.

He muttered a curse and started to pull out.

She opened her eyes. “What?” she panted.

“I don’t have protection.”

“I’m on the pill and I’m safe. It’s okay.” She saw him struggling for control and waited tensely to see if he would continue.

“I’m safe, too. Except when it comes to you. With you, I’m unprotected.”

So am I.That he would admit his vulnerability made her love him more. He surged back inside and she trembled. Mia wrapped her legs around his waist and her head fell back. She moaned again. She lifted her head and stared into his eyes. “You make me feel so good.”

“Then let’s make it better. I want you to feel love.”

Mia held on tight as he set a hard, driving rhythm. She arched and writhed against him as he pumped faster, delving deeper with each thrust. He whispered a mixture of tender endearments and erotic promises that made her desire climb even higher. Their breathing grew louder as he gripped her tighter and drove into her harder.

Dwight increased the pace, his strokes coming faster. “I love how your body fits mine,” he murmured, not slowing.

She met and matched his thrusts, both trying to keep their passionate vocalizations to a minimum. Her eyes slid closed and everything she felt for him rushed to the surface, nearly overwhelming her. He plunged faster and faster until she convulsed all around him, spasms of ecstasy rocketing through her body. “I love you.”

“I love you, too. So much,” he said emotionally.

Dwight pulled her into a kiss so erotic it made her head spin. He followed her over the edge, thrusting so deeply that she came again in a rush of pleasure so strong she screamed out his name.

Tightening his arms around her, he braced his back against a tree and asked, “You okay, baby?”

No. I don’t want to leave you tomorrow. She nodded and rested her head on his shoulder, not wanting him to see the tears in her eyes. It took several minutes for their breathing to slow. “I’ve never done anything like this in my life.”

The deep rumble of his chuckle vibrated through her. “Neither have I.” Dwight placed her on her feet. “Let’s get cleaned up and head back.”

“Okay. I’ll meet you by the gym entrance.” Mia would shower when she got to the room, but took a few minutes to wash away the scent of their lovemaking in the locker room facilities. He was waiting when she came out and she fought to keep a smile on her face. She hadn’t planned on him being here and showing her what it meant to be treasured by a man. What it meant to surrender your total heart and soul, and then having to go their separate ways until she didn’t know when. She wasn’t ready for it to end. She wanted more time. She needed more time with him.
