Gianna scoffed, shoving a finger into his chest. “She will absolutely not understand a single thing because no one will ever hear about this literally ever. Do you understand me?”
He smirked, wrapping his hands around her waist and pulling her closer. “So what? I’m your dirty little secret now?”
“You’re insufferable,” she muttered, pulling away. “How are you planning on getting out of here, by the way? Your clothes are soaking wet.”
He shrugged. “I’ll walk down the hall naked.”
Gianna let out a sarcastic laugh. “Oh, yeah. I’m sure that’ll go over perfectly with everyone who lives here.”
She turned off the water, finally getting out herself. Her skin was pruney and the bathroom was covered in a thick layer of moisture and heat. She needed to get some fresh air. Maybe that would help her think a little bit more logically about everything.
After wrapping a towel around herself, she threw him one before marching out of the bathroom. The cool air of the bedroom hit her immediately and it felt like a relief until he came barreling after her with the towel around his waist hardly covering anything.
She walked to her closet, grabbing the first clothes she saw, which happened to be a sweatshirt and shorts, before throwing them on and wrapping the towel around her hair instead. Stepping out of the closet, she saw Finn eyeing his back in her vanity mirror.
His back was scratched up by her nails, but there were also plenty of little white scars that lined the surface of his skin. They looked like past scars that had been healed, but the fact that they covered the entirety of his back was concerning. From the crisscross appearance of them, she knew it couldn’t havebeen past lovers or even her doing this time. She hated to even think about it, but it almost looked like lashings from a whip or something. If it was, who the hell would have done that to him?
“Do you have claws on your hands?” he asked, giving her a mischievous look. She felt her face turn red, her thoughts getting averted for the moment.
“You can keep staring at yourself or you can tell me where your clothes are so you’re not standing around naked all day,” Gianna said, walking towards the door.
“I thought you would have preferred me this way,” he said, motioning to his half naked body.
She rolled her eyes, walking out of the room and quickly making her way to his. Thankfully, it didn’t seem like anyone was home yet. She tried being quiet earlier, but if no one was home then it was fine. No witnesses to the crime.
She entered his room, remembering how good it smelled when she was in there earlier. To think that putting her panties on the bed would have led to what happened in the bathroom. She shook her head.
She went to the closet, which was surprisingly organized. The first things she saw were a pair of black sweats and a gray T-shirt. With those in tow, she closed the door to his room and made her way back to hers, locking up as soon as she entered.
“Here,” she said, tossing the clothes on the bed for him. “Get dressed and get out.”
“You’re kicking me out? No post-fuck cuddle?” Finn asked.
He dropped the towel, exposing himself completely. He didn’t seem insecure in the slightest and he had no reason to be. Though Gianna would never admit it to his face, he had an amazing body. He knew how to use all parts of himself, but she would never experience it again, so it didn’t matter.
“What happened between us will never happen again. Ever,” Gianna said, shaking her head.
Finn pulled the shirt over his head. “You promise, princess?”
She rolled her eyes. “I’m being serious.”
“I am too. This was bound to happen.” He crossed his arms.
“Well, just because it happened once doesn’t mean it has to keep happening,” she told him. “This isn’t going to go anywhere and I’m trying to get past the whole casual hookups part of my life, hence why I went on a date with Dylan in the first place.”
“Don’t bring up his fucking name,” Finn growled. She was stunned at how quickly his whole demeanor was able to change in the blink of an eye at the mention of something he didn’t like. “You said you were done with all of those assholes.”
“What I said while you were inside of me doesn’t count.”
He was in front of her in a second, holding her chin in his hand. “It does to me, so maybe you should watch what you say next time.”
She frowned. “Well, I’m not going to be a nun and not date just because you don’t like it.”
“You won’t be.”
“I don’t get it.”
“You’ll be dating me.”
