“Well, didn’t seem that way when you had your tongue down my throat?—”

“That was all you!” she screeched, pointing her finger at him. “You kissed me.”

Finn leaned in closer, his smirk growing. “You kissed me back, though of course it was apparently the worst kiss you have ever had in your life. I would say by the little moans that escaped your mouth and how tightly you held onto me that you enjoyed itmore than you’re letting on. Hell, I would even bet that you went to bed with a soaking wet pussy, princess.”

Gianna’s mouth dropped open. The filthy words leaving his mouth shouldn’t have sounded so fucking delicious, but they did. And all it did was remind her of how good that kiss was—how often she had thought about it since then.

“You’re disgusting,” she said, trying to make the words sound aggressive. Instead, they came out of her mouth sounding more breathless than she had intended.

“Tell me, did you slip your hand into those tiny little shorts and play with yourself before you went to bed, or did you leave yourself frustrated?” Finn asked.

The words sounded like honey leaving his mouth, but they were wrong. All of it was so fucking wrong. He was her best friend’s brother. She had known him forever; she had never even thought about him in that way.

And she still didn’t.

No, she didn’t.

“Shut up,” she growled, pushing him away.

He grabbed her hands, pulling her body closer to his. His warmth surrounded every single inch of her skin, and she hated how much she liked it.

She needed to hate it; she needed to snap out of it. For God’s sake, she needed to get a grip.

“Did you think it was me doing it for you? What did you imagine? My tongue or my fingers?” His eyes were dark, matching the thickness of his voice. “Is that why you’re going on that date tomorrow? Because you’re hoping that boy will get you off? Let me tell you, princess, no one will give you the same feeling I did, and I haven’t even touched your pussy yet.”

His hand drifted from her wrist, stroking up her arm and over her shoulder before it reached the back of her neck. Herlips parted, suddenly so aware of how close he was, how good his touch felt, and how fucking wet she was.

“Too bad you pissed me off with your words the other day,” he said, shrugging. Then, he pulled away from her completely, leaving her feeling cold and empty once again.

Gianna blinked, coming out of her daze. “What the fuck?”

“Let’s go. Don’t want people to start wondering where you went.”

He stood, holding his hand out for her. She ignored it, standing without his help. She swore she could feel steam leaving her ears, her cheeks most likely a bright shade of red.

Once again, he trapped her. He lured her in, and she fell for it completely.

She stomped back to the bike, not willing to look at him. One glimpse at that arrogant face and she was scared she might actually attack him.

How could she have let him get a leg up on her again? She needed to focus. Gianna wasn’t the type that let any man play her and that was what she was forgetting. She was becoming too soft, too easy to play with.

If Finn wanted to play, she would beat him at his own game.

SIXTEEN

FINN

Hangingaround Augustus again was proving to be a bad idea because here Finn was, following Gianna to her date. At this point, he might as well have been following Augustus’s handbook on how to stalk because Finn was out of control, hacking into her phone to find the boy she was going on a date with, running a full background check on him, and showing up to the cafe even before she did.

At the dock, he saw how much she wanted him. From her wide pupils that replaced the blues of her eyes, to her parted lips, to even how much she hung onto every word he said. He teased the hell out of her, but as a result he was left driving home with the hardest fucking dick he’d had in years. He so badly wanted to lean over and make her crumble, but her words hurt his feelings.

Finn got her back, or at least he thought he did. Honestly, it seemed like he was just punishing himself because he wanted a taste of her. She seemed willing to give in, but after last night, that was doubtful.

Even more so because she had actually shown up to the date. Gianna giggled and laughed at everything Dylan said even though it wasn’t funny. Finn couldn’t hear them, but afterfinding out what a dumbass the boy was, there was no doubt in his mind he wasn’t saying anything profound.

He knew she wasn’t enjoying the date either. She kept fidgeting as if she was already prepared for it to end and her eyes kept looking at her phone. She even stuck to a hot chocolate instead of ordering her usual coffee that somehow ended up costing an absurd amount of money because of all her substitutions and add-ons.

Why?
