Charlie dropped onto the mattress next to me. “Let’s prep that sweet hole so I can give you what you want.”

Charlie pressed open-mouth kisses against my back and down my spine. I groaned softly as he dragged his tongue over my skin before he gripped my hips to pull me back against his hard penis. I was deliciously sore in all the right places from last night, and even though I probably shouldn’t, I wanted Charlie to do it again.

“Good morning, Jonesy.” Charlie breath was hot against my ear. “Want you so bad.”

I whimpered and spun around to face my husband. “Then have me.”

I wasn’t sure what time it was, but since we had been up late last night, I knew it was probably close to noon. I could see the sun hiding behind the curtains we had managed to get up before we got married. Charlie’s lips found mine, and I wanted nothing more than to get lost in him all over again. To feel him inside me, hitting that spot that made me see stars.

“How about we eat something first and then I’ll sink balls-deep inside that hot little hole of yours again?” Charlie whispered, his dark eyes sparkling with happiness.

I didn’t want to, but maybe it was for the best. Take a shower, fill my belly, and go for round four. Or was it five. I couldn’t remember. “Okay, Charlie.” I pushed the hair from his forehead.

“Fuck, you’re so pretty.” He kissed me again, and just as I reached my hand between us to grip his length, the doorbell rang. I groaned. “I bet that’s Ollie.”

Charlie grunted. “Why would Ollie be here when it’s our honeymoon?”

“Let’s go find out.” I smacked a kiss to his mouth, then climbed from the bed. I moved to the bathroom, splashed water on my face, and brushed my teeth just as I caught Charlie watching me in the mirror.

“Hi.” I blushed under his gaze.

He grinned and turned me around to face him. “Hi.” He brushed our noses together just as the doorbell rang again. “Get dressed, Jonesy, and go find out what Ollie wants. I’ll be down in a few minutes.”

I hummed happily as I did as he told me, pulling on my pajama pants and Charlie’s shirt before I jogged down the stairs. The bell rang again, and I rolled my eyes as I unlocked the door. “Ollie, what do you...” My voice trailed off as I stared at the man before me.

It wasn’t my best friend.

It was Remi.

“Is my son awake yet?” He strolled past me like he owned the place. When I turned around, Remi raised his brows at me. “I need to speak with Charlies this instant, Jones. It’s rather important.”

“I’m right here.” Charlie popped his jaw as he stepped from the stairs. “Didn’t I tell you not to come back here?” He reached for me and tucked me under his arm. “We’re getting some cameras installed today. I don’t care how much it costs.”

Remi stared at us for a second before he spoke. “I’ve come to make a deal with you.”

“I’m not making any deals with you, old man. I’m married to Jones, and I plan to keep it that way. Please leave.” Charlie squeezed my shoulder.

Remi’s nostrils flared. “That’s why I’m here. To offer you both something that I know you’re going to want.”

“I doubt that,” Charlie spat.

Remi shrugged. “How about I invest in your racing thing, huh? Give you all the money you need to continue this ridiculous career.”

“No.” Charlie shook his head. “You can go now.” He pointed to the door.

But Remi didn’t move. “I’m not talking about just you, Charles. I want to invest in both youandyour husband.”

Chapter Forty-One

Charlie

I stared at my father, his words echoing in my head.“I want to invest in both you and your husband.”

Why? Why would he want to help me and Jones? What was he going to get out of it? Because let’s be honest, Remington Callihan didn’t do anything without it benefiting him. And that thought scared the hell out of me.

“I’m waiting, Charles. I don’t have all day.” Dad straightened his tie as he stared at me, his gaze never leaving mine.
