Maya’s eyes are filled with uncertainty, and she nods slightly. “She’ll never go to a judge and give me my rights back.”
“Don’t worry about it. I’ll handle it.”
I don’t know how I’m going to do it, but I am, and if she sees me upset, then it’ll make the situation worse.
“Just don’t kill her. She’s still my mother, after all.” Her tone does wonders to my dick, and when she realizes she belongs to me, I’m going to fuck her until she can’t walk anymore.
Maya doesn’t have any idea the extent of the abuse she has been doing to AJ, and I’m not going to break his promise because I want him to trust me. It’s on the tip of my tongue, but I bite it down.
I want to roll my eyes, but I don’t. She’s taking out all the fun, but I love her, so she has my word. “I won’t. I promise.”
“Thank you.” She turns on her heel, but before she heads to the living room, I tug on her arm, and her intense gaze meets mine. I wrap my arm around her waist and watch as her pulse thumps in her neck. Awareness pricks at my spine, and it feels as if time stops moving.
“We’re having dinner tonight. And I’m not going to take no for an answer.”
“Why should I?” She tries to pull away, but I hold on tighter.
I lean closer and whisper in her ear. “Because we love each other.”
“Not a good enough answer,” she snaps back as she glances down at my lips before her eyes peer back up at mine.
“Because I said so. When are you going to get it through your thick skull you’re mine? You’ve always been mine, since I laid eyes on you in high school.”
Her breath hitches, and I lean in further, inching closer to her mouth as I slide my hand down to her ass and squeeze.
“Da and Ma, Wyatt sent me a message saying he needs to be picked up from Uncle Cayden’s house.”
We both look up at him, and a smile spreads across his face.
“Get in the car, AJ. We’ll go pick him up together,” I say.
Maya takes a step back and swallows thickly, and I want to put hickeys all over her body.
“Yes, sir.”
“I’ll be back at six to pick you up.” I head to the silver elevator.
“I haven’t agreed to thisdate.”
“Wear something black and leather.” I wink and tap the Down button on the elevator.
Villainous
Itell Henson to take me home as I get into the car. AJ is going to stay with Roselyn and Devious until after this so-called date.Date.The word sounds so foreign on my tongue. I haven’t had a real date since I was in high school. Maya is the only woman I’ve ever attempted to try to date. The snow falls freely as I glance at the cotton candy sky. There are so many things I’m going to do to make it up to Maya for my lousy behavior. For treating her like shit. I tell Henson to take me to Target, where I get a picnic basket and blanket. Then I tell him to take me to Love, the Korean restaurant on the corner of Fifth Avenue, and order her favorite dish. I don’t know if it’s still one of her favorite restaurants. She hasn’t been out mingling with people for six months. Once Henson grabs the to-go boxes from the restaurant, he drives me all the way home, and one of the bodyguards opens the door to her room.
She’s perched on the bed, wearing a silk blouse and leather pants that hug her figure. My eyes damn near fall out of my head. Her hair has thick, luscious curls, and they fall like a waterfall down her back. I was kinda worried she didn’t fight me on it.
She pushes herself off the bed, and her mouth pulls into a tight smile.
“You see…the only reason why I agreed to this so-called date was because I get to eat free food, and you know how to pick a good restaurant.”
“Sure,” I say, pretending to believe her lies.
I lead her out to the car, and Henson opens the back door. She eyes the takeout food and the Target bag, and she chews on her bottom lip.
“What’s all this?” she asks.
“You’ll see.”
