“I miss the old Villainous,” I say. I watch as his dick gets hard again, ready for me to devour it, and my mouth waters at the thought of me sucking him off.
“He died the minute you left.” He strokes his fingers along the diamond embedded in the collar around my neck. “I like my collar around you. More than my name tattooed on your ass.”
“Why? Is it because you still love me?”
He strokes my cheek, his lips brushing against my forehead, and a shiver tickles my spine.
“You’re talking too much. My dick should be in your mouth.”
My knees drop to the icy concrete as he shoves his dick into my mouth, and I suck him off until I feel the warm goo of cum on my tongue.
Villainous
The next evening, Devious called me to meet him at a restaurant on our territory. He sounded like shit. Once I’m at the eating area, I spot him hunched over the table with his fingers entwined and his elbows resting on the white cloth. His eyes are droopy, and he looks like he’s aged a few years. His hair is a mess, as if he just rolled out of bed, and his dress shirt is wrinkled. It is not like my brother to not keep up with himself. Once he spots me, he stands up from the table with his hand in his pockets, and I walk up to him and pat him on the back. We perch in the leather booth, across from each other. My two bodyguards stand with Devious’s bodyguard.
The restaurant is deserted, and the lamps are dim. It’s like a ghost town in here. For my brother to want to keep our conversation private, the news he’s about to deliver is going to be bad. I haven’t heard from him since he went to the hospital with Roselyn.
I straighten my shoulders and place my phone face down on the white tablecloth. “Is everything okay?”
A waitress sets down a basket of fresh bread and smiles at us. When she strolls to the back, I check out her ass. Her ass is nice, but it isn’t as nice as Maya’s. I need to get her off my mind. Ever since last night, when we fucked, she’s all I can think about, and I fucking hate it. Things are not going the way I like, and she’s getting inside of my head, living rent-free there. I bring my fingers to my nose, and the faint smell of her pussy still lingers there on my skin.
Shaking my head, I lean forward and keep my focus on why Devious called me here.
He doesn’t say anything for several minutes and signals for the bartender to send him a whole bottle of whiskey. The bartender sets two shot glasses on the table. Devious clutches the neck of the bottle and pours me a shot. He wraps his mouth around the rim and takes a few swallows, then sets it back down on the table.
“We lost the baby.”I can smell the bourbon on his breath; it tells me that he’s been drinking all day. This is not like him. Normally, I’m the one who has a problem with controlling my intake of liquor when I’m depressed.
There is so much sorrow on his face. I haven’t seen him this sad since Shelby passed away.
I down the shot. “Fuck,” I say.
My brother waited so long for this moment to be a father and to have his own famiglia, and to watch it get snatched from him is heartbreaking.
“Yeah. We’re having a private funeral for Enzo. Just me and Roselyn. It’s what she wanted. She’s taking it a lot harder than I am.”
I lean back in the booth, and I snatch the bottle from him and pour myself a shot, then down it. “What happened?”
“They couldn’t detect a heartbeat on the ultrasound.” He takes another swig from the bottle of whiskey.
The waitress stands at the end of the table, and her eyes bounce between both of us. “Do you need anything else, Mr. Vitali?”
I shake my head.
“Get me a steak, medium well, and a rack of lambs. I need to sober up a little before I go home to Roselyn.”
“Of course. We’ll have it out in no time.” The waitress bows before leaving.
He thumps his fingernails on the table. “Enough about that. I had to get out the damn manor because it’s so damn gloomy. And the holidays are rolling around, so it’s going to get rough. How are things your way?”
I lean back in the seat. “Maya lied to me about Celeste. Liam killed him.”
“Did she say why?”
I shrug. “She said he was trying to protect her. He wanted information out of her about someone, so he tried to kill her.”
“I talked to Luciano, and the only thing they have on her is her fingerprints. It is not enough evidence to put her in prison, and since I killed Liam, then they can’t charge him. And since he was a part of the mob, they are going to leave it as a cold case,” Devious says, leaning his elbows on the table and entwining his fingers together, resting them on his lips.
“It won’t matter, anyways. She’s going to end up like some of my old pets.”
