They all nod.
“I’m going to kill everyone who had any ties to this lowlife.”
We get into the car, and the ride is silent. I take shotgun, and Aiden sits in the driver’s seat, tapping his finger on the steering wheel. My mind is filled with worst-case scenarios. Whoever took her better not touch her because if they do, I’m going to make them wish they weren’t born.
Once we arrive at the hotel, I tell Damien to figure out what room she’s in. If I walk in, someone might recognize me, and they might leave and move Roselyn to another place. Twenty minutes later, I have a text from Damien.
Damien: She’s in room 2189.
Me: What floor are you on?
Damien: I’m still in the lobby.
Me: I’ll be there.
“You wait right here,” I tell Aiden.
He nods. I take out my gun from my holster and put a silencer at the tip, then grab my mask from the glove compartment, sliding it on my face.
Damien: Stroll in the back so I can let you in.
A few of my bodyguards and I march to the exit, and Damien opens the door. We head to the flight of stairs, and once we get on the right floor, I peek through the small window on the door leading out the staircase. Two men guard the door of the hotel room. I’m assuming that’s the room she’s in. Silently, I open the door, and Damien follows me. I aim my gun at the two meatheads and pull the trigger, and their bodies fall to the floor, making a thud.
Damien searches one of the meatheads for a key, then grabs it and inserts it in the door. Once he opens it, we find Roselyn tied to the headboard, her black eyeliner running down her face. She’s naked, and fear clouds her face. My blood boils. Whoever did this is going to die. Her eyes meet my face, and she lifts both of her eyebrows, so I remove the mask from my face. She sighs, and a smile spreads across her face. The sight of her naked body makes me go crazy, and not in a good way.
I put my finger to my mouth to tell her to be quiet, and she nods. I point to the bathroom, lifting my bushy brow, and she nods again. Damien comes in, and I tell him to pick the handcuff and take her to my brother. Once she’s out of the cuffs, she grabs her dress and slides it on her tiny frame. She wraps her arms around me, hugging me tight.
I kiss her forehead. “Go. I’ll catch up.”
She nods, and Damien escorts her out of the room.
I’m going to kill the man who took her once I get all the answers I need.
I perch on the chair and wait for this bastard to get out of the shower. Three of my soldiers stand with their guns aimed at the door of the bathroom. Several minutes later, the guy cuts the shower off, and he walks into the room with a black cotton towel hanging from his waist. He has a small hand towel, stroking his damp hair.
“You like steak, princess?”
Pissed off is putting it lightly on how I feel. He’s too calm and carefree for someone who stole from me.
I aim my gun at him and say, “I prefer your head on a silver platter with tomato soup on the side.” I cock my gun. “Who the fuck are you?”
“Terrance.” He glances at the bed, then back at me. Fear fogs his eyes. “You’re Devious.”
“Why did you target my wife?”
“I didn’t. I bought her from someone. He was plotting to have you murdered.”
“Who?”
“He goes by the name Twenty-Six.” He pauses. “We can work so—”
“Shut the fuck up,” I say. “Give me your phone.”
He goes to the nightstand and picks up his phone, and I snatch it from him. I’ll have my IT guy search it.
“Look. I want to live. Someone offered me to her. I was looking for a pet. A woman to control. The place doesn—” I pull the trigger, and the bullet shoots through his forehead. He falls to the floor, and blood pours from his mouth and surrounds his head.
My phone buzzes with a text message from Aiden.
