I can’t get the image of her out of my head. The slope of her nose, the curve of her cheeks, the lips that parted in relief at our arrival on the platform. She’s lucky we had always intended to follow her home. My fists clench. I wish we would have gotten on the subway with her instead of waiting at her stop.

We’ve been hopeless to resist her pull. Hazel isn’t any omega, she’s the one we all want. There’s no way we’d let someone hurt her. Courting isn’t a good enough word for what my pack is doing.Obsessingis more appropriate. Mad is ordering strawberries by the flat. Kill has already cleared out the spare rooms, and I’ve been tracking her movements. I’m pretty proud that she has yet to detect it, but that was always the point of the ghost app. It’s installed on her phone, and she’ll never know about it unless I tell her.

 KILL

 Is she sleeping?

 EZRA

 Not yet.

 KILL

 She’s getting evicted.

 MAD

 Really?

Stifling a chuckle, knowing exactly how hopeful that one word is, I send the message they’re both waiting for.

If she lives with us, we can keep a better eye on her. Keep her safe.

 KILL

I’ll call the designer. Get the sister’s room put together.

 MAD

 I’ll arrange a moving company.

You both realize she has to say yes, right?

 KILL

 Does she though?

 MAD

 I mean. . .

No, we can’t kidnap her. That’s going too far.

 KILL

So stalking her, hijacking her devices, and otherwise following her every movement is fine but kidnapping is the line we can’t cross?

 MAD

 Sounds correct.

 Yeah, it’s too far.

 KILL

 Ugh.

You guys always ruin the fun. Besides, something tells me she’d enjoy being tied up.
