My aunt pulls her fist back and punches Carly right in the face.The crunch of her nose breaking fills the common room as my mom steps up and gets her hands dirty right alongside my aunt.Abigail and Carly scream out in pain as two of the best women in my life beat the shit out of them.They don’t let up until the girls are a bloody mess and laying on the ground at their feet.

We all stand in shocked silence as Luca lifts Carly from the floor and walks her to the door.Manic takes Abigail to the door and we watch as they get walked out.My mom and aunt move to the sink behind the bar and wash their hands, talking and laughing with one another as if they didn’t just beat the shit out of two skanks.The second the door closes behind them, every man cheers like their favorite team just won a world championship.
“The three of you don’t have anythin’ to worry about.As long as you keep workin’ and doin’ what you’ve been doin’, you’ll always have a place here in the clubhouse.We’ll find some more Feral girls to replace the ones who were just kicked out.You have the rest of the night off once the kitchen is cleaned up from dinner.My family cooked so it’s only right you clean it up,” I tell the girls who have been pulling the weight of all the Feral girls in the clubhouse without question.
After making a plate of food each, Master and I make our way back to his room to continue working.We spend hours and hours combing through the footage surrounding the compound now that we have it figured out what happened at the grocery store.Carly might have gotten her ass beaten by my aunt, but that’s not all that will happen to her.She’s going to pay for hurting Cali while she’s been here.Abigail will also pay for hurting them.No one again will hurt her for any reason.If I have to break my heart every fucking day to ensure she’s safe and happy, that’s what I’ll do.

AMONTH HAS passedsince Darren’s parents walked into the hospital I worked at and spewed all their vile lies and hatred for me.Dr.Stevenson has been doing a full investigation into their claims and I have yet to hear anything back from him.I’m trying really hard not to call him on a daily basis to ask him where things stand, but it’s harder than almost anything else I’ve ever had to do in my life.I want to go back to work and help patients who walk through the door of the emergency department for various reasons.Working there as a nurse gave me a purpose in life.I can be a great mom to Bryce and Rory, giving them everything they need, but helping others is what truly made me feel alive.Hearing someone thank you for giving them your time, attention, and care in their most vulnerable times made me feel like I was fulfilling a greater need.Now, I get up every day and do the same things.I cook, clean, take care of the kids, and try to make memories with them.It’s routine and I’m starting to become bored.
