“Good morn—” Tyler’s word got cut off at the sight of Harris standing there in his underwear.

Ethan was frozen in place, his face scrunched up as if he couldn’t comprehend what he was seeing.

Harris was left staring back at Ethan with a deer-in-the-headlights look on his face, while Wolf just kept looking back and forth between Ethan and Harris.

“What’s this?” Ethan asked, an edge to his voice.

“Breakfast,” Wolf answered, casually, and stuffed a piece of bacon into his mouth.

“That’s not what I’m talking about, and you know it.” Ethan looked down at Harris’ underwear, still tented from morning wood, then at Wolf. “Are you two sleeping together?”

Tyler’s gaze darted cautiously from Wolf to Harris and then to Ethan. For once, they guy had nothing to say. It was as if Tyler was afraid the slightest sound would set off an explosion.

Harris and Wolf exchanged an uncertain glance, neither answering Ethan’s question. They agreed not to say anything until after the tour, but they couldn’t outright lie to Ethan.

Harris’ heart started to hammer in his chest, and he couldn’t make his eyes any less wide. Slowly, he sunk back into the dining booth and didn’t look anywhere except at Wolf, who somehow remained calm and unfazed.

“Maybe we should go,” Tyler finally said, breaking the silence.

“No.” Ethan looked pointedly at Wolf. “What’s going on?”

The corners of Wolf’s lips curled slightly, and he shook his head. “It’s not a big deal.”

“Yes, it is a big deal!”

“Ethan . . .” Tyler placed his hand on Ethan’s forearm. “They’re both adults. This is none of our business.”

“Of course, it’s my business!”

“How’s that?” Wolf asked.

Sweat started to form on Harris’ forehead, and he could hear his heart beating in his ears. He didn’t know why he was so freaked out, maybe because of the shock on Ethan’s face, and the guy had a right to be shocked. Harris should have discussed itwith Ethan from the beginning, but both he and Wolf agreed to keep things quiet. Now, he realized that wasn’t the best idea.

While Harris was having a silent meltdown, Wolf continued to eat breakfast as if nothing happened. How the hell was Wolf staying so calm?

“This is between me and Harris,” Wolf replied between bites.

“You’re my best friend in the world,” Ethan began, but Wolf cut him off, dropping his fork with a loud clang and looking Ethan dead in the eyes.

“You’remybest friend in the world.”

“We’re brothers,” Ethan continued.

“Agreed.” Wolf nodded once.

“That’s what makes it my business. You’remy business. Do you really think this is a good idea?” Ethan shot a daggered gaze at Harris, then looked back at Wolf waiting for an answer.

Wolf let out a short sigh. “I know you’re only looking out for me. I know you got my back at all times. But I’m a big boy. I’m not having any kind of crisis. Everything’s fine.”

“Really?” Ethan raised his brows. “You’re having nightmares again.”

Wolf opened his mouth, then closed it, and let out a sigh. “I don’t want to talk about this right now.”

Tyler put an arm around Ethan’s back and tried to steer him away. “You heard him. He’s not ready to talk yet. Give the guy a minute. We just walked in on them. Take a breath, and let’s go for a walk or something. When Wolf’s ready to talk, he will. Come on.”

Surprisingly, Ethan conceded and raised his hands as a sign of defeat. “All right. Fine. I’m leaving.” Before he turned, he leaned a little closer in Wolf’s direction and said, “I’m just worried about you. I don’t want you to get hurt.”

“I know, brother.”
