The tour bus pulled into New Orleans at an ungodly hour, so everyone just checked into the hotel and crashed. It was now that odd hour between breakfast and lunch, which most people referred to as brunch. Brunch was a word that Jeremy refused to include in his vocabulary because it conjured up images of cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off, tea, and extended pinky fingers. He looked around at his bandmates. Nope. They definitely didn’t eat brunch.

“Where’s the food?” Derek demanded. “I’m fucking starving!”

“It’s on the way,” Felix answered. “I just placed the order 20 minutes ago. Seriously, Derek, I saw the amount of food you put away at the after-party last night. You act like you haven’t eaten in a week.”

“I burned it off last night.” Derek displayed a mischievous grin, and then turned his eyes on Alan and Jeremy. “What happened to the two dudes I brought back for you guys? They took off?”

“Yeah.” Jeremy was relieved that the guys they were with had left before the bus pulled out of the parking lot last night, otherwise it would have evolved into one of their buddy fucks, and it was too soon for that. Getting side-by-side BJs was awkward enough. Jeremy wondered if they’d ever return to their famous group fuck-a-thons or if that was off the table from now on. In a way he hoped that was the case, because he didn’t know if he could watch Alan with another man ever again. There was a jealous rage burning inside him just thinking about it.

“What happened?” Derek asked. “I thought they were really into you two. They just split?”

“We were done before the bus driver boarded, so we sent them on their way,” Jeremy answered. “Better off. I got a good night’s sleep.”

Alan nodded. “Yeah. Me too.”

“Hey, Bran,” Derek called. “Where’s Cam? Isn’t he coming for eats?”

Brandon checked his phone. “He’ll be here. He needed to get some work done, so he banished me from the suite.”

“You could have at least brought the dog with you,” Jeremy said.

“I tried. Cam wanted her there to keep him company.”

Derek snickered. “Cam wanted the dog to stay, but wanted you to leave.”

Brandon gave Derek a friendly shove in the chest, and Derek gave Brandon the finger.

Jeremy wondered – pretending Cam wasn’t in the picture – if Derek and Brandon’s friendship could survive in the face of something as extreme as a sexual encounter, the way his and Alan’s had. Jeremy grimaced. The idea of Brandon and Derek screwing around seemed freaky, and not in a good way. He looked across at Alan, sitting on the opposite sofa, and wondered if that’s how Alan felt. Is that why Alan was so freaked out? Did he think fooling around together was creepy? A sinking feeling in Jeremy’s gut made him queasy. He didn’t want his friend disgusted by what had happened. It was just an awkward mistake. And sometimes awkward sex turned into really hot sex. But it wasn’t awkward sex. Afterward had been chaotic, butduringhad been perfection. And by the heavy moans and sighs that had come from Alan’s mouth, and the way he had been gyrating his pelvis, he had enjoyed receiving the blowjob as much as Jeremy had enjoyed giving it. A part of Jeremy wished it never happened, but a larger part wished he could just change the outcome.

Cam walked into the suite, with Brandy leading the way. She immediately brought a smile to Jeremy’s face, even though she ignored his open arms and ran straight to Brandon. The dog wagged her tail and ran around Brandon’s legs, then sat and looked up at him with expectant eyes.

“Did you miss me, girl? I wasn’t gone that long.” Brandon bent down and kissed the dog on the head while scratching behind her ears. He stood up and kissed Cam, deep and powerful.

“So, I’m second, huh?” Cam asked. “You greet the dog before you greet me? Kiss her, then me?”

Brandon quieted Cam with another smoldering kiss. Jeremy had to look away. It was too much sexual energy so early in the day. It was bad enough that he kept thinking about what happened between him and Alan and getting a woody in the process.

“All done with work?” Jeremy asked Cam.

“Yes. I didn’t go back to sleep this morning like the rest of you probably did. I’ve been up since 5:30 a.m.”

“That’s my guy,” Brandon boasted. “Parties all night and still gets up in the morning and puts in a day’s work.”

Jeremy shook his head. “You’re a trip, Cam. I don’t know how you do it.”

A knock on the door announced that food had finally arrived, and Jeremy’s stomach rumbled. He didn’t realize he was so hungry. No wonder Derek was complaining. Felix answered the door, but he wasn’t letting the servers in the room.

“What’s the hold up?” Derek shouted toward the door.

Felix didn’t answer, so everyone quieted to listen to his conversation.

“You can’t all come in here,” Felix said to the hotel staff. “This is ridiculous.”

“We’re just here to set up your food service, sir. It’s a large order, and we want—”

“It’s fine! C’mon in.” Brandon walked toward the door with a flashy smile and his arms outstretched as if he was about to hug the staff.

Derek laughed at their showy frontman. “He’s such a fucking ham.”
