A part of her was hesitant to get back out there after feeling like Jeremy had played her for a fool, but she was feeling surprisingly optimistic about both of her upcoming dates.

Ben:What’s your favorite board game?

Melody:I honestly couldn’t tell you. It really depends on my mood.

Ben:Okay. What are some of your favorites then?

Melody:Let’s see. Apples to Apples is always fun. Depending on the group, Cards Against Humanity can also be enlightening.

Ben:I’m seeing a theme. It sounds like you enjoy personality games that help you get to know people better.

Melody:I don’t think I ever really thought about it, but I suspect you might be onto something. Hmmm . . .

Melody:How about you? Do you have a favorite board game?

Ben:Don’t laugh.

Melody:I make no promises. lol

Ben:Would it surprise you to know I’m really into Guitar Hero?

Melody:That’s not a board game!

Ben:Okay. I guess you can laugh then. ;-)

Melody:I'm rolling my eyes at you.

Melody:So what’s your favorite board game?

Ben:Is it too boring to admit I love Trivial Pursuit?

Melody:So does Alexei.

Ben:Oh yeah? Maybe we could organize a board game night. We could invite Shawna, Annie, Pam, and some of the guys from the team.

Melody:That sounds like a lot of fun. Just be prepared for the fact Eric will fight hard for Dungeons & Dragons. Hahaha.

Ben:Seriously? He’s into D&D? That’s unexpected.

Melody:Don’t let Eric fool you. He has a lot of hidden depths.

Ben:It certainly sounds like it.

Ben:So, what do you say? Board games sometime soon?

Melody:I think I’d like that.

Ben:It’s a date. <3
