“I’m ready for the first part of my punishment, Sir,” I reply with astoic nod.
“Very well.” He smiles, and he kneels down, taking a hold of my balls in his left hand while he holds one of the metal rings in his right. “You are twenty-two today, correct?”
“Yes, Sir.” This is a weird conversation to have while I’m getting my junk locked in a cage. I inhale sharply when the cold metal touches my skin.
“I had something special planned for you tonight.” He slips the ring around both of my balls first.
“You did?” I try and fail to not sound disappointed.
“Do not worry. It is still happening. You will just be in chastity for the duration.” He pushes my shaft down, squeezing it through the ring as well. “I see no reason to punish anyone else for your infraction. Except perhaps Ragnar.”
He grumbles that last bit, and I am left wondering if their friendship is in danger. Then I get distracted by the feeling of cold metal encasing my dick as the rest of the cage is slipped on. Any growing I was doing because of the handling is gone, which is a good thing because next Khazak connects the shaft to the base ring before pulling out the small key again and locking themtogether.
“This feels weird.”That’s an understatement.I lean up on my elbows and look down at my encased crotch.
“You will get used to it.” He holds out a hand to help me stand. “Or you will not. Either way, it is not coming off until I feel you have earned it.”
I spend breakfast squirming in my seat as I try to get used to the cage. It’s weird having a solid chunk of metal between my legs. I don’t think I realized how squishy my dick was. Khazak is silent while we eat, but his smirk says enough. By the time we’re finished, I think I’vemostlygotten used to it, just in time for my visit to the labor camp.
Khazak lets me go alone this time, saying he needs to prepare for later. I’m not sure if he means for my birthday or the punishment, but I try not to think about it. I’m patted down by the guards once I’m there and brought to an empty table to wait for Adam and Nate. They weren’t expecting me this week, so it’s the first time they’re not here waiting for me.
“It’s so good to see you.” I hug Adam a little longer than usual.
“It’s good to see you, too.” Adam takes his seat next to Nate, who is decidedly un-hugged. “Happybirthday.”
“Wow, thanks.” The mention of my birthday throws me off. “I’m surprised you guys remembered.I didn’t.”
“There’s not a whole thing to do in here besides staring at the calendar.” He leans forward, his volume dropping almost to a whisper. “I’m glad you’re alright. After the attacks we were all a little worried something might have happened to you. Was this all related to those robberies you were looking into?”
I try to hold in any look of surprise, my eyes darting to the guards watching over the room. I forgot I mentioned that to Liss and Corrine, and of course they would have told Adam and Nate. And thanks to what I did yesterday, they might have a huge target on theirbacks now.
“Yes, but don’t talk about it. Not to anyone,” I whisper after leaning forward myself. “It’snot safe.”
Adam’s eyes go wide as he leans back in his seat, but he says nothing. I’m not sure Nate is even paying attention right now. He’s just looking down and fidgeting in his seat a lot.
“I’m okay. I was out in the woods during most of the explosions.” I go back to speaking at a normal volume, leaving out the part about the burning building. “Has everything been alright here?”
“Things have been locked down pretty heavily the last few days. Haven’t even worked.” Adam shrugs. “Was kind of surprised they didn’t cancel visiting hours. I guess things are starting to go back to normal.”
“What about you?” I nod over at Nate. “Youalright?”
“Fine.” He rubs at his wrist, not quite making eye contact. “Just want to get outof here.”
“Sure...” He seems really anxious or something. “Not much longer. I was actually wondering... You guys are getting paid in here, right?”
“Yeah. Not a lot, but Nate and I ran some numbers.” He gives the wizard a little nudge with his shoulder. “Even after they take out what we owe in fines, what we have left over is enough for at least a month’s worth of supplies. A month and a half if we stretch it. What about you? Have you been making any money?”
“Yeah.” I nod with a smile. “Let’s just say we can go a lot longer than a month. I actually started getting some things together. Is there anything that I should start checking shops for?”
My questions brighten Adam’s smile in an instant, eager to start talking aboutstrategy.
“Do you think my friends are safe?” The question is out of my mouth as soon as I close the front door.
Khazak is taken aback at my sudden question from his spot on the couch. “What exactly doyou mean?”
“After what happened yesterday, if Murbank knows that it was me who broke into his house—”
“Which he most certainly does.”
