Huh. Interesting. Did that mean their boy was upset? Or were the characters fighting? Or were the words fighting him? He took a moment to decide if he should go and see, then decided he would. If Jamie didn’t want to be interrupted, he would say so, and Bran could bow out easily enough. If he did want or need to be interrupted, then it would be Daddy to the rescue.

He called out before he got to Jamie’s study door. “I’m home!”

“I’m in a bad mood, fair warning.”

Okay, that was clear.

His boy had not told him to go away, had not said he wanted to be alone, which invited him to ask, “Can I ask why?”

“Someone flew a drone over to our windows. I flipped it off. It’s on Twitter now.” Jamie seemed more angry than scared. “A bunch of the guys called me to warn me and offer to stay with me until you got home, but I said no. It was sweet, though.”

“Good for you for flipping it off! And give me the link, I’ll send it to the lawyer and have it added to the evidence for the restraining order. I’m glad your friends have your back, boy.” He went over to Jamie to give him a no doubt much-needed hug.

Jamie pushed into his arms, and there was a hint of a shiver, a shake. “Assholes.”

“Yeah. I’m sorry they haven’t backed off, but they’re about to, or wind up in jail. We’re getting a restraining order and as soon as we have it, we can call the cops whenever they show up and get them arrested.” Bran knew it was the same couple of photographers stalking his boy.

“Good. I’m a private citizen, right? I’m not in the public eye.”

“Even if you’re in the public eye, you’re entitled to privacy in your own home. But yes, you are a private citizen, you aren’t making movies anymore. While you are the most beautiful boy I know, there’s otherwise no reason to be hassling you.”

“I agree. I don’t want to be bothered. I want to live my life in peace.”

“So you should. It’s a good life, eh?” Bran tightened his hold on Jamie. “And we’ve got this. We are going to make it so much more trouble than a few photos of you are worth that they won’t ever bother you again.”

“Good. Good. I love it here. I’ve been working hard. I’m happy. You two are happy. They need to FUCK OFF.”

Ooh… swearing.

“While I agree with the sentiment, that was a swear word, boy. And what have we said about swearing?” He couldn’t keep the smile from his voice. His hand loved Jamie’s ass. Very much.

“It doesn’t count.”

“It doesn’t?” He was looking forward to this.

Jamie shook his head. “Nope. Those fuckers are assholes, and I fucking hate them.”

“Again, I agree with the sentiment, Jamie, but this is the last time I will allow such language.” He wasn’t giving their boy carte blanche to swear under any circumstances.

“That’s not fair!”

“Fair has nothing to do with it. That’s the rule.”

“What if I’m mad?”

“If you want a spanking, then go for it, but if you don’t want to be punished, then you find another way to express it.” It was as simple as that, and he wasn’t backing down. He knew that having to be careful with his words could help Jamie calm down, or that if he was that upset, a spanking could be a great help.

“But you won’t be mad either way?”

“Not at you, no.” He would be mad at the paparazzi if they continued on with this harassment, but he knew Jamie meant specifically at him. “Also, I will never meet out a punishment in anger. If I’m angry and a punishment has been earned, I will wait until I’ve calmed down.”

“Okay, but if I need a spanking. If I need this, I can cuss, and you’ll know?”

“Yes. Now that I’ve been very clear about you not being allowed to cuss, even about the stalkers, I will know if you swear because you need us.”

Jamie leaned in, whispering low. “I just needed to make sure I understood.”

“Good deal. Did you want to tell me about how you feel about the paparazzi again, then?”
