“I want to be good.”

Silas nodded. “Of course, sweet boy. Of course you do.”

Bran nodded and kissed Jamie again, still rubbing the hot ass, letting Jamie feel the burn, letting it sink in.

Jamie had been sobbing softly, but he relaxed, humming low, letting them in.

He looked over at Silas and smiled, his lover smiling back at him. They had their boy between them, and at this moment, everything was right in the world.

CHAPTER TEN

The photographer had leaked his workplace, and after the place had been mobbed with fans for four hours, his manager had sent him home.

He arranged for an Uber and called Bran before it came.

Bran picked up after the first ring. “Hey baby boy, what’s up? Everything okay?”

“No. No, I’m waiting for an Uber. I think I’m fired. I can’t come home. I’m going to a hotel.” That would be safe and private, right?

“Of course you can come home. Cancel the Uber, I’m on my way.”

“What? Are you sure? Can you?” He had butterflies in his stomach.

“I’m already in the car, boy. Are you somewhere safe?”

“I’m hiding in the back of the coffee shop.” He wasn’t going to cry.

“Is there a back door I can pull the car up next to? If not, I can park and come in and get you.”

“Just pull up to the alley and I’ll run?”

No crying.

“I’ll pull up, and if the alley is empty, I’ll text you to come out. Otherwise, I’m coming in to get you. You will not face this alone.” There was steel in Bran’s voice.

“Are you sure? I’m so sorry, but I don’t know what to do.”

“Jamie, you can come to your Daddy anytime about anything, and you don’t have to apologize for it. That’s what I’m here for. What both Silas and I are here for. I’m two minutes away.”

“Okay. I’ll come to you. I just want to not be alone right now. I’ve never been fired before.”

“Everything is going to work out, baby boy. Okay, I’m here and the alley is clear, but you’ll have to be quick because the crowd outside of the coffee shop is crazy.”

“I’ll run. Just don’t leave without me, okay?” He couldn’t bear that.

“I would never. The passenger side door is unlocked. Come now.”

“Okay.” He shoved his phone in his pocket, put the hood of his hoodie up, and bolted, focused on his—on Bran.

The car was right there where Bran had said it would be and he made it before anyone at the front of the building noticed him. Pulling open the door, he threw himself into the seat.

He heard Bran lock the doors. “Let’s get you home.”

“Don’t go home. They’ll ruin everything.” He put his head in his hands and began to sob.

“Of course we’re going home. We have a privacy fence in the back and the curtains in front are closed and the doors lock. And I’m going to park in the garage, so we won’t be bothered going in.” Bran’s hand slid over his shoulders, warm and soothing. “We have you, boy. We do, I promise.”

“I’m so, so sorry…” He hadn’t wanted to bring this on. And he definitely hadn’t wanted to bring it to Bran and Silas’s door. They deserved better.
