“Coby,” I said through tight lips. “What are you doing?”

“Helping you relax. Like I said, thisisthe relaxation room.” He scraped his fingertip up and down the slope of my neck. I shivered beneath his touch. Warmth spread up my chest and neck. “You look beautiful all flushed like that.”

I squeezed the edge of my robe to keep my hands from doing something that my head didn’t want them to do.Not wanting to meet his heated expression. I aimed my gaze down, but I had to admit, his fingers set my skin on fire.

He slid his index finger underneath the hem of my robe, just an inch, continuing the slow circles. My pulse thumped as he inched higher, and I shivered, releasing a shaky breath. “That’s it, baby, let go for me.”

His warm breath whispering against my ear brought me back to the present, reminding me that we weren’t alone. I jumped and pulled my robe tighter. “I’m going to get some water.” Icy cold water to be exact. Coby chuckled under his breath. That bastard knew I was turned on.

There had to be a way to turn the tide in my favor because letting Coby know he was affecting me would surely get to his head. I looked at my cup of ice water, grabbed an ice cube, and grinned.

I made my way back to the couch and sat close to Coby, intentionally leaning into him. He flashed me a smug grin that made his dimples show. “Feeling better?” he asked.

I turned to face him and slid my hand across his shoulder and around his neck until I reached the front of his robe, then I dropped the ice cube right down his front. “Much better,” I crooned.

His eyes dropped to his lap, and he hissed before jumping up. “What the he—”

Before he could get the words out a slew of therapists entered the relaxation room calling on their clients one by one. I heard a deep voice say my name and looked up to see none other than Liam, waiting against the wall for me.

I looked back to Coby, smiling smugly. “I thought you might have needed to cool off before your appointment.” Coby looked between Liam and me and his lips pursed tightly. “I guess I was right. Have a good treatment, boyfriend.” Giving him a little wave, I sauntered over to Liam, shaking his hand and smiling brightly.

On our way out into the hallway, I chanced one more backward look at Coby who was standing stick straight with his fists clenched at his sides and a look that could kill on his face.

Liam led me through a maze of corridors lined with dimly lit glass sconces and framed beach-themed artwork. Jill and Mike were a few paces behind us holding hands and speaking in low voices to their therapists.

“So, you’re a massage therapist?” I asked, mostly to make conversation.

“No, I’m actually a dentist. Didn’t you know you’re here for a root canal?” He chuckled, his voice was low and husky.

“Good one. I’ll have you know that I don’t mind dental work. I get drugged up every time and take a nice little vacation into dreamland,” I quipped.

“Hmm, well I guess I picked the wrong profession for messing with you then,” Liam said while he turned down yet another hallway. How big was this place? “I take it the bride didn’t share what services you signed up for then?”

“Nope.” My voice popped the P sound dramatically. “I’m just along for the ride.”

We finally reached door number fourteen and Liam opened it wide, letting me inside. “Well, don’t worry. I’ll make sure your ride is nice and smooth.” My normal cool and calm demeanor crumbled a bit, and I felt my face heat. A sly grin tugged at the corner of his lips. “Your first treatment is with me, a sixty-minute essential oil massage. Then you’ll have a break for lunch and a facial with London, one of our estheticians. She’s—”

He was cut off mid-sentence by Coby stalking into the room followed by a young female spa attendant who looked nervous as hell.

Chapter 15

Coby

“Coby?”Kendahlgrittedmyname through her teeth. “What are you doing in here?” She bounced her gaze between me, my confused massage therapist, and the other guy in the room. The guy who looked at Kendahl with a heated expression I knew all too well. That look alone told me, he wasn’t as professional as he should be in his line of work.

I forced a breath into my chest, letting it out slowly so I could regain my composure. Kendahl had a hand on her hip and a scowl lining her face. “My therapist,” I gestured to the confused woman behind me, “recommended the couples suite for us.” The lie slid off my lips as I continued to spin my story. “It has two massage tables and comes with champagne. Isn’t that right,” I scanned her nametag before continuing, “Katie?”

“Uh, sir…” the douchey guy started as I cracked my knuckles and glared right at him. He zipped his lips. That’s right kid.I had never been like this before. But when I pictured the douche’s hands rubbing Kendahl with hot oil, a burning sensation rose from my belly into my chest.

Katie looked to the douche, then back at me and nodded. “Okay, we can make this work. Couple’s suite number three is open. If you’re both ready, you can follow me.”The burning made its way back down into the deep pits of my gut where it belonged.

“Are you serious, Coby?” Kendahl rolled her eyes.

“Of course I am.” I stepped to her side and pulled her against my chest. “I didn’t want to be separated from my beautiful girlfriend for a whole hour. Don’t you feel the same way?”

“Oh I feel some kind of way.” She shrugged me off and stalked ahead of me.

Now I just needed to swap therapists, which meant I’d have another dude rubbing me. I shuddered. I was secure enough in my sexuality to let a guy massage me. Better him working on me than on Kendahl. As I followed a peppy-looking Katie, a baffled douche, and a pissed off Kendahl through the corridors I tried to formulate another plan to turn this spa day around.
