“I found Jesus and the nuns,” he deadpans. “All those nuns.”

“Malik, put down the gun,” Delia snaps. “You too, Diego.”

Chip moves to stand in front of Delia in some attempt to keep her from harm as she slaps at his hip to move him out of her way.

“Delia, what’s going on?” Diego growls out while he and Malik ignore Delia’s demand to put the guns down. “We saw footage of you being taken. This doesn’t look dire at all.”

“Because the bikers of Steel Dragons have a soft spot for females, apparently.” She chomps into her chip while tossing me a wink.

“I just want a chance to speak with Genni,” I explain as Diego comes around to check over his sister, his eyes narrowing in on Chip, who’s standing a little too close.

“Is she here?” Another deep voice sounds throughout the warehouse.

“How many people did you fucking bring?” I ask, then tense as my brother taps the gun against my head. I wouldn’t put it past him to shoot my brains out and claim it to be an accident.

“Why do you want to speak to Genni? Didn’t she already shut you down?” he taunts as someone else runs into the room, yelling Delia’s name.

“Are you going to put your gun down?” I grit out, my eyes trained on Delia as she’s hauled off the chair by a towering man and gathered into his arms.

“Nope,” Malik says with boredom.

“Is Genni here with you?” I pry, trying to get someone to speak. The room falls silent as Chip looks between all of us, his brows slowly falling.

“She hates to be called that,” Delia says as she breaks away from the guy who’s crushing her to his chest. “It reminds her of when she considered the Steel Dragons her family and they betrayed her.”

“She’s actually been taken to the Steel Dragons compound,” my brother states. “Looks like she was grabbed on the side of the road. Would you know anything about that?”

“What?!” I bellow with surprise as I knock my brother’s gun away from my head. “Jaeger must have her. Why would you come here?”

“Because of me,” Delia cuts in quietly, making me snap my head back to face her. She looks guilty as she bites her bottom lip with her teeth. “She would never forgive them if they rescued her before me, and they know not to betray her after what’s been done to her.”

“Fuck!” I scream and turn to look at Diego as he seems to be the more levelheaded of the three of them. “Listen, if Jaeger has her, he will stop at nothing until he feels like his mother’s death is avenged. Barrett slit her throat in the kitchen of his home while they tied him up.” Diego swallows hard as Malik curses softly beside me, making me turn on him. “You were there! You should know.”

He lifts the gun and points it at my head, his jaw ticking as he cocks it. “Don’t try me, Laith. I will kill you right now for the shit you did to my girl. I wasn’t there when Barrett killed an innocent woman. It’s not my style. Although, could I say the same for you?”

“Don’t,” I croak out as I swallow down the images of blood and pain threatening to resurface. I turn back to Diego, ignoring my brother’s gun on me, and plead, “We need to get her back. I’m worried that Jaeger is consumed with the need for revenge and he’s very much a believer in an eye for an eye.”

“Ajani, get Delia out of here and take her home,” Diego barks without taking his eyes off of me. “Make sure you stay with her.” Ajani leads Delia out and when she passes by me, she places her hand on my arm, giving me a slight squeeze.

Chip takes Delia’s seat and opens a bag of chips, his crunching filling the empty space. I should send him back to the compound, but I don’t know who my brother and Diego have brought with them, and I can’t guarantee his safety.

“Are you working on the orders of that President?” Malik snarls. “Is he telling you to kidnap women like he orchestrated for his sister?”

I sit back in the chair with a huff, my head pounding and my heart heavy. “I’m not working for Jaeger. This was my great idea to get some time to speak to Genni. Obviously, it fucking backfired.”

“Would it be safe to assume you’re willing to help us get her out of that compound?” Diego asks as Malik finally drops the fucking gun.

“You want me to sell out my President,” I murmur, my head conflicted but my heart pounding for one person.

“If you help us get her out and she’s willing, I will let you speak to her,” my brother adds. “This isn’t about your club or ours anymore. It’s about right and wrong. Your President is a fraud, and he killed his own father in cold blood while his sister was being taken away. On his fucking orders.”

“What about your President!” I retort. “He’s a fucking sadistic bastard!”

“Barrett is dead,” Diego quietly interjects. “Genevieve shot him in the head for how he treated her when Jaeger handed her over. She is now our President.”

Shock tears through me as a startled laugh escapes my lips. The very club her father connived to protect her from, she dominated and made it her own. We would’ve been so lucky to have her as our President.

“I will help you.” I give Malik and Diego a grim look and then glance at Chip. “This is our bartender, Chip. I would like to keep him out of this. He was only bringing us supplies—”
