“Do you not find it suspicious that they’re here the same day Delia is taken?” I look at him incredulously. It takes everything in me not to berate him here in front of Jones. We may belong to the same girl, but inside this building, he is my superior.

“Now I do.” He nods and slips his phone into his pocket, then begins to rub his hands together. “Let’s go. You’re a medic. You can keep them alive for longer torture.” He turns as I rush after him, hoping to stop him before he gets his hopes up. There’s no way I’m torturing females.

“We are not Barrett or Bear,” I remind him as I try to keep up with his long strides. “We don’t hurt women. Let’s get Genevieve to come with us.”

“Fine.” He exhales his frustration as we head into a rager of a party. “She’s at the bar.”

We bypass the brothers as they fuck, drink, and smoke, but the closer we get to the bar, the more I’m not seeing my fucking girlfriend.

“Where is she?” I yell over his shoulder.

“Being a pain in my ass, I would assume,” he hollers back as we lean on the bar to get Rockz’s attention.

He comes over with a large smile on his face as he flicks his bar towel over his shoulder. “Brothers! I’m giving you a round because this wouldn’t have happened without you and our new President.” I roll my eyes at his gesture and shake my head. Booze is free in our club.

“Where’s the President?” I bellow over the music and Rockz looks around the room, his brows crinkling in the center.

“I think she left…” he trails off as Robby, our newest prospect, looks over at us from his stool at the bar.

“She went to get supplies!” he calls out timidly as his shoulders curve inward, making my blood run cold. Shock straightens my spine as I curse loudly.

“What the fuck are you talking about?” Malik grabs him by the back of his cut and drags him off the stool and back toward the corridor, where the music isn’t so loud. He throws him against the wall and then crowds in close, making Robby cringe with fear. “Where is our President?” Malik sounds on the edge of insanity and if mine and Robby’s positions were reversed, I’d be fucking shaking too.

The kid’s eyes widen, telling me he has enough sense to understand he’s about to be killed if he doesn’t answer. “She took the keys to the van. She said she wanted some of those fruity girl drinks for the party.” He shrinks back against the wall as Malik drives his fist into the plaster near his head, dragging a scared yelp from the kid’s throat. Malik’s fist grips the Prospect’s cut in a death hold as he breathes through his clenched teeth.

“She went to trade herself in,” I gasp as shock tears through me. “Fuck!” I exclaim as my hands grip my hair with distress.

“Let’s get the boys who aren’t too drunk to ride ready. We’re hitting up that compound tonight.” Malik gives me a nod, his eyes telling me he’s willing to do just about anything to get our girl back. He shoves the kid back out toward the party. “Go round them up!”

Just as I’m loading bullets into my gun, Jones comes rushing in, his copper hair a mess from his fingers constantly gripping the curls, or at least, that’s what I assume. “I found a ping just a few minutes ago from your brother’s phone. I know where they are.”

“Send the location to my phone,” I snap as I click the magazine back into place. “He’s going to meet our maker if he has my girl.”

“Where are we going?” Diego and Ajani storm into my old room, both of them winded and ready to ride out. “Compound or the cell location?”

“From the video at the pastry shop,” I begin, my voice not betraying an ounce of the rage I feel inside but my body trembles with the force of it. “My brother has your sister. We’ll go there and hope that’s where Slayer will be too.” If she’s not there, we’re going to have bigger issues on our hands. She seems to have forgotten she’s our fucking President.

“Do you think she figured out the location before leaving?” Diego’s eyes are filled with panic as he paces the room and I have to look at my boots to keep myself from exploding.

“I hope so,” I murmur just as Robby joins the fucking party in my room.

“They found the supply van.” He bends over, pressing his hands to his knees as he tries to suck in air. He’s been running all over the compound since I nearly busted his head in earlier. “Abandoned on the side of the road, not too far from here.”

I instantly know who has my girl and my stomach tightens with murderous intent. No doubt Cash has suddenly disappeared as well. There’s no way she’s with my brother. Slayer has been taken to the Steel Dragons’ compound to face her brother, and I would bet my life that’s what she was planning all along. She’s distracting Jaeger while we rescue Delia, and if I know her as well as I think I do, she’s hoping to avenge her daddy all on her own. If we storm that compound tonight, we would all die and she would be left in the hands of the man who wants to harm her, but, if I get to my brother and get back Diego’s sister, there’s a chance I could torture information out of him to get my girl back. I hate leaving her there with Jaeger, but if I don’t rescue Delia before saving her, Slayer will never forgive me.

I trained her to be tough, to endure pain, and most importantly, how to dole it out. I need to trust in her strength now and do as she would want me to. Then I’m coming for her with an army, ready to tear that compound apart.

Diego stands still, his muscles bunching as his eyes slowly blink and lock on mine. “Ajani, can you get our bikes packed and ready?” Ajani nods and quickly leaves the room as Jones trails behind him, sensing the rising tension. “Robby, go prepare the brothers on our order.” Once I’m alone with Diego, I hold up my hands, warning him to give me a few minutes before he starts swinging. My nose is still sore from our last encounter. “Cash has been staking this place out for Jaeger for a while. I caught him about six months ago and instead of killing him, I made him a double agent.”

“You did what?” Diego grits through his teeth as his chin drops and his eyes narrow.

“Barrett knew about it.” I shrug and finally drop my hands. “I was ordered to do what I did. Tonight, he was back snooping around again and I told him to fuck off.”

“He took Genevieve.” Diego’s eyes widen with realization as he tips his head back.

“She wanted him to.” I put my gun in my holster strapped to my waist, trying my best not to give in to panic. “I would assume she thought her brother had Delia, but I don’t know for sure. Maybe she’s going there to deal with Jaeger herself.”

“We need to go to that compound and get Genevieve away from him, by any means necessary.” I can see the sheen of sweat lining his brow as he begins to pace, his arms crossed over his chest.
