“Wait for me,” he growls.
“I can’t. I’m going to come,” I practically scream.
Two more strokes, and he bares his teeth with a snarl, then lets out a groan as we both plummet into oblivion.
His weight drops on top of me, and his hot skin presses to mine. I wrap my arms around him, loving the feeling.
All too soon, he rolls off me and tucks me to his side.
I rest my head on his chest and wrap my arm across his abs.
“That was incredible.” His hand strokes slowly over my back.
“It was,” I agree, pressing a kiss to his sweaty pectoral muscle.
We lay there for a long while before cleaning ourselves up.
“Let’s finish these lights and head to town,” he says. “We can grab some ornaments and, besides, I’m starving.”
“I wonder why?” I tease.
“Some sexy woman had her way with me.”
“Ha!”

The town is bustling with shoppers when we arrive, and after grabbing a quick bite at Dasher’s, we wander through the many shops around the square.
Soon my arms are laden with bags, as are JJ’s.
“I think we have enough to decorate two trees,” he says as I push the door open toMerry Magic Emporium.
“Yes, but we need a tree topper and maybe a skirt.”
He shakes his head, but follows me in.
“Hi, how are you two doing?” a clerk calls from the counter as we enter.
“Great, thank you,” I respond with a smile.
“Can I help you find anything? I bet you want to get up to the farm before the bottom drops out.”
I glance out the window, noticing the winds picking up. “I guess that storm is headed this way after all.”
“The weather reports say it’ll be here within the next hour or so.”
“Better hurry, then,” JJ murmurs.
“I just need a tree topper and skirt,” I tell the clerk.
“Third aisle from the right,” she points.
We move down the aisle and quickly locate a beautiful golden star and a cream-colored tree skirt with the twelve days of Christmas items embroidered on it and pay for them.
Dashing to the truck, JJ yanks the door open for me just as a drizzle begins.
I scoot in, and he jogs around the hood and climbs behind the wheel.
