Wren follows, and when she leans in, her voice is filled with emotion. “I hoped we’d be sisters one day,” she whispers through tears, and I choke up with emotion as she pulls back and presses a kiss to my cheek.

Hank gives me and Hudson both a hug, and then I’m pulled into Duke’s warm embrace.

“You’re not honorary anymore,” he says with a hearty laugh, making me chuckle, before Emily steals me away and hugs me to her.

“Welcome to the family, honey,” she says, then lowers her voice so only I can hear. “My son couldn’t have picked a better woman.” She beams.

I mouth a silentthank youbecause I couldn’t find my voice if I tried. I’m so overcome with emotion.

After everyone has had their turn, even giving Paige hugs, they all start gathering dinner plates and dishes to clean up. Hudson motions for Paige to come closer. She saunters over and he crouches down in front of her, taking one of her hands in his. With his other hand, he brushes back her hair. “Are you ok with this, Pipsqueak?”

She turns her big, dark eyes up to mine from where I’m standing next to her dad with a hand on his shoulder. She takes a big breath and meets Hudson’s eyes again with a nod. She’s such a brave and sweet little girl. “Yeah, but…there is a problem.”

Hudson flicks a quick, worried glance up at me and then back to Paige. “Ok, sweetheart, tell me what it is, and we’ll figure it out together.”

Her eyes shift back and forth between us, and then she leans forward and presses her lips to his ear, shielding her mouth with a tiny hand.

I see Hudson’s chuckle more than hear it. Then, he pulls her in and gives her a long hug before whispering in her ear. She pulls back and grins. “Ok, Daddy,” she says, then bounds away.

Hudson stands back up, his eyes finding mine. They’re full of amusement as he takes my hands.

“What’s the problem?” I ask.

He slides an arm around my shoulders and pulls me in close, kissing me chastely on the lips. When he pulls back, he’s grinning. “Shopping emergency.”

I stare up at him in confusion. “Shopping?”

“She needs another mommy doll,” he says, his eyes roaming my face. “One with brown hair.”

Tears immediately spring to my eyes and one word comes out garbled with emotion. “Really?”

“Really.” He nods with a grin.

I sniffle and bury my face in his shirt as he wraps his arms around me. Then, I pop my head up and twist my mouth into a smirk. “I don’t think they make dolls with itty-bitty crop tops and biker shorts.” I shrug. “Guess I’ll have to stop wearing them.”

His laugh is deep and vibrates my chest, spreading warmth through my extremities and dropping to my core when he hauls me against him.

He groans against the shell of my ear. “Like hell, pretty girl,” he says and then crushes his lips to mine.

Hudson

Four months later

January

“Are you guys coming?” Paige calls from the bottom of the stairs.

“We’ll be down in a minute!” I call out to Paige and then turn toward the ensuite bathroom in our bedroom.

“You about ready, Mama?” I ask just as my wife steps out of the bathroom. My jaw nearly hits the floor when my eyes roam over the stunning woman before me.

She’s wrapped in a soft, emerald-green fabric that flows over her curves like butter. Her tits look delectable, pushed up over the top of the heart-shaped neckline, and the tight-fitting dress accentuates her tiny waist.

She’s only a couple of months along, so she’s not showing yet, but I can’t wait to see her grow with our son or daughter. I know we’ll be happy with either, but I think we’re both secretly hoping for a boy.

A wide smile plays across her face, and she’s gorgeous. Her newly cut shoulder-length hair just brushing the tops of her petite shoulders is curled in soft waves. Her lips are coated in that signature red thatI love so much, and she’s got on a bit more eye makeup than usual, giving her a sultry, sensual vibe. She’s so fucking sexy.
