“If she wants, she can have all the business she wants.Now that Neekil has proved she can work with dark elf skin, she’s going to work as much as she wants.”
“Good.”
Jennel finally took the hint and left.Amy chuckled, shook her head, and got back to work, moving the files to the case files and attaching other unsolved evidence files for examination with commonalities.The patterns could not be avoided.It was why she was in this particular office.She could see them.It wasn’t like being a seer, but she could see when things did fit and when they didn’t.It meant she didn’t miss socialization with the opposite sex.They didn’t fit her life.No romantic entanglement fit her life.The energy was just all wrong.

Nylora looked at Jennel.“Couldn’t get her to show up?”
Jennel shook her head.“Nope.Do you know anything about frost giants?”
“A little.Why?”
“She said something, and if Emmers doesn’t know what it means.I will ask you.”Jennel shrugged.
“Now is your chance.”Nylora pointed toward the vehicle that was parking.
Jennel walked up to the guys and was talking to them as they lined up behind other agents who were there on break.
Jennel was talking to Emmers, and something that she said to him caused him to fluff out.
Nylora sipped her lemonade.“So, he knows what that means.”
Jennel said something else, and Neekil and Kairek started laughing.
Nylora smiled.“And now they know where she works.”
“Are you turning the other agents into a soap opera?”Solor sat next to her with an arm around her waist.
“No.But Emmers just found out where Amy works and something that she said about her people.No, I don’t know what it is.”
He chuckled and kissed her temple.“Well, you have enough drama at home.”
“Yeah, now, aren’t you glad we did that test?Your mother was stopped in her tracks.”
He sighed.“And it didn’t hurt that Demuel explained why he had been with me that night.”
“That was embarrassing, but I am really glad he knew that spell, or you two would have caused some permanent damage.I had no idea that unicorns couldactuallydetect virgins.”
“It is something he usually ignored, but in your case, he couldn’t, so I had to share.”
“And now your mom is plotting with Leo.That is going to be a weird party.”
“Well, Myor is trying to rein them in, but I don’t know how successful she will be.”
“Only two more weeks, and then I will know what I can buy for Bump.”Nylora rubbed her hands.“And then...there will be no stopping me.”
“Oh, no.You have to let me set something up.”
“Fine, you and Demuel can assemble anything that needs assembling, but I get to determine where it goes.And you can get a little onesie withPretty like my dadon it.”
He sighed.“I was thinking of something more than that.”
