"Morning, Talia. I have brought you Dylan Pierce. She is the powerful werewolf I've been telling you about."
"Hello, Dylan."
"Hi, Councilwoman Talia."
"Oh, you can just call me Talia." She looked up at Lupe."Thank you, Louve. I'll take it from here."
Lupe didn't argue. She turned and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. I didn't expect her to leave so quickly, and now I was alone in a room with three angels.
This is a weird day.
Talia motioned toward the other female angel. "This is Arabella."
Arabella smiled and gave me a finger wave. "Hi."
"Hi."
I wasn't sure what to do because I didn't know if other species did handshakes. Something I needed to read up on if I was going to continue to interact with other species over the next few weeks.
"You can sit down, Dylan. We called you in today because you can help us with a sensitive topic."
Despite my uneasy feeling, I sat. The chairs in these offices need to be replaced. They were beyond uncomfortable, and it made me want to just stand. My wolf felt the energy coming off the angels, making her uneasy, too. I was uncomfortable inside and out.
"What kind of sensitive topic?"
Talia looked at Arabella. I guess it was to give her the floor because Arabella then turned to look at me. "There's a werewolf causing me some problems since I've arrived here. Frankly, I'mdone dealing with it. Your councilwoman won't do a damn thing about it."
I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "I'm sure she won't. She doesn't seem to do a lot of things she should."
"Well. Now we are taking things into our own hands. She tells us her hands are tied and can't do much about this werewolf stalking and harassing me. We would like you to track him down, incapacitate him, and bring him to us."
My mouth dropped at that explanation. The guy hanging around the angel dorm. That's what this is about. If I had done something that day, I'd already have this wrapped up.
"I think I saw a guard by your dorms. Is that the guy?"
Talia cleared her throat. "He hasn't been at his post in a while. He's abandoned his post to pursue Arabella."
I frowned. This was not good. That meant this dude was fixated, like Camilla had been. If someone doesn’t take care of him soon, he’ll go full feral, and it will be a nightmare to stop.
"Understandable. I'll report this to my mates so they can help me. One of them has experience with keeping our kind under control. I'm sure he can be more helpthan even me to find this guy. Are you staying inside your dorm? Because I wouldn't recommend that."
"No. I have business elsewhere."
"Good."
"You will do this for us?" Talia asked me.
Usually, I'd respond immediately to that. However, I had angels asking me to help. Right now, I was in a fight for this school to bring down a dangerous person. Between that, classes, juggling two mates and keeping Silas at arm's length, I had my hands full. Yet, I couldn't bring myself to tell them no. I'm supposed to be an alpha, and alphas help those around them. If I turned them away right now, I wouldn't be the person I always thought I'd be.
Then I had to think about the perp being a werewolf. Lupe won't do a damn thing to stop Noah from chasing Arabella. She hasn't yet, and the guy has been after her since the term started. I should have brought her to the board for that alone. Arabella needed help. Noah must be going feral if he was chasing after an angel to claim as a mate. I wasn't even sure if werewolves could claim someone outside of their species. Would the magic still work to bond them?
Yeah, I need to help.
"Yes. I will help you track down, Noah. Do I bring him to your office when I catch him?"
"If you could detain him in a safe place until Arabella can come down to retrieve him, that would be great," Talia told me.
I looked at Arabella. A twinkle in her eye told me we would be best friends if I spent more time with her. There was some mischief there, and my mind was turning to tell me a way to contact her that would bypass everyone. To have a direct link to an angel would be badass. I could feel her power when standing in the hallway.
