"So, what do you want me to do?" I growled.
Hunter held out his hand and Jackson put a loofah in Hunter's. I noticed Jackson, soaped up and under the water, with bubbles running down his body. He wasn't hard anymore, but still at an incredible length. I licked my lips at the thought ofdropping to my knees and making him hard again. Hunter put a finger on my chin and pulled my head to look at him.
"Well, I'm going to wash you off and then we are going to class. After class, we are going to spend the night making you forget Lupe even exists. How does that sound?"
I purred hearing that. That sounded like the best plan anyone could come up with. I nodded with a smile and let Hunter take over. He was gentle with the loofah, massaging my skin with the suds as he washed every part of my body. For shampooing, Hunter massaged my scalp with his fingers, and I felt Jackson moving to give me more room to get under the water. Stress washed down the drain as the suds did. Being taken care of by my mates always putme in a better mood. Not just with sex, but with things like this. My wolf rumbled, feeling their hands on my body to rinse off everything. Jackson helped the rest of the way with the conditioning as Hunter moved on to wash himself. When we were all washed off, I stepped out of the shower.
Yeah... today may be a better day than I thought.
~*~*~*~*~*~
During breakfast, I found myself touching my mates more than usual. My need for their touch was satisfied as they happily pulled me close, taking turns holding me while we ate. I felt Silas's presence before I saw him. When I looked over my shoulder, he was there and bowed his head at me when he noticed me looking. Part of me wanted to invite him to our table, but another part still wanted him at a distance. I wasn't sure what to do until Hunter looked over and saw Silas, too. He motioned for Silas to join us, and I was a little shocked to see him walk over and sit down. Sera raised her brows at Hunter, but he shrugged.
Silas watched me nuzzle Jackson, his eyes filled with sadness at my affection for my other mates. The tugging in my chest came and pulled in Silas's direction. The bond screamed forme to complete it any time we were near each other. That wasn't what I wanted yet, but I knew it would be coming soon. I couldn't fight this forever, but I hoped I could fight it long enough for us to be in an okay place before we bit each other.
"Hey, guys," Silas greeted us.
"Hi," I purred.
I caught myself after I realized how I said it. This was weird. The anger I felt toward Silas didn't surface. If anything, I wanted to reach across the table and pull him in for a kiss.
Something is wrong with me.
I didn't have time to analyze it. The bell rang for classes to start. Hunter helped me up, and Sera kept looking at me with a weird face.
"You good, Dyl?"
"I don't know. I feel off."
"Maybe you should go up to the infirmary or something then."
I shook my head. "I'm fine. If I still feel like this later, maybe."
She frowned at me. "Dyl, promise you'll go after class if you still feel like this through etiquette."
There was no harm in that. If something was wrong, I needed to deal with it. I couldn't be walking around feeling off. What if something like that could stop me from shifting? That's the last thing I needed right now. With everything being crazy around school, I needed to be at the top of my game, not feeling wonky.
Sitting in class, I couldn't focus. Having my mates so close by had me rubbing my legs together to feel the friction. Jackson sat beside me and looked in my direction with a lifted brow.
What's going on with you, baby?he asked me through our bond.
I don't know.
Someone knocked on the classroom door. Lupe stepped through the door, and her eyes found mine immediately. "Iapologize for disrupting class. Miss Pierce is needed right now. Can I steal her for a moment?"
My mates growled as I got to my feet. Lupe held her hand up when they got to their feet to follow. "I'm sorry gentlemen, only Miss Pierce may attend this meeting. She will be safe, I assure you."
I heard their snarls and the desks move, and I knew I had to stop them. As I opened up the bonds for me to talk to them, I pushed a calming touch to both of them.
I'll be fine, guys. She'd be stupid to do something to me during school hours.
They growled in my head. You tell us if something happens. Keep the bonds open,Hunter demanded.
I nodded and walked to the door. Lupe stepped out and closed the door behind us. I waited for her to tell me what this was about, but she didn't seem too keen on giving me that detail. When we walked down the hall where the council members' offices were, I called on my wolf. She was close to the surface already, but I needed her power to keep me calm as I felt more secluded. This felt more like a ploy to get me alone than anything now, and I hated myself for not demanding my mates to come along.
What I didn't expect to happen was for Lupe to walk past her office to another. The scent coming from the room smelled more of feathers and ozone. I knew that scent. I hadn't met one personally, but because of this school, I knew at least what they smelled like. Lupe opened the door and inside sat two women. Behind the desk was the councilwoman for the angels. The black hair on her reminded me of a raven's feathers and her ice-blue eyes stared into me like she was staring into my soul. The other was another angel with black hair. She smelled different from the other, more like a hint of brimstone instead of ozone. That made little sense to me, but I knew nothing about angels. Sheturned to look at me and her eyes were also blue. They were more bright than pale like the councilwoman’s.There was also a male angel standing behind the councilwoman.
The councilwoman stood up and smiled at me.
