“Of course.”

“Thank you, Reid. I'm sorry I worried you.” I kiss him again. Kissing Reid is the best feeling in the world right now.

“I'm alright,” he says between kisses, and I believe him. “I'll go now. I'll bring back some treats for you after I check on Devon.”

“You are a treat,” I kiss him one last time before I let him go, and nod at Jasper. He leads Reid out of Nathan's room just as I feel the energy drop that happens each time I'm knotted. I know it's an involuntary, biological reaction, but it's still obnoxious. Fuck, knot, sleep, fuck, knot, sleep. Over and over for a whole fucking week. Every month. For the rest of my life.

“What are you thinking about?” Alex purrs against my shoulder and wraps his arms around me to hold me a little tighter.

I blow out a frustrated breath. “I have to do this every single month.”

“What? You don't enjoy all this attention?” He pulls a few strands of my hair.

“Of course I enjoy the attention, Alex,” I pull his hair back, and more than a few strands.

“Stop it,” Kaleb hisses, “don't start pulling hair again. Just stop.”

What the fuck actually happened between me and Alex that has everyone so worked up? I feel perfectly fine.

“Why are you so prickly, Kaleb? And why was Reid so worried? What happened? And tell me quick, because I don't know how long it's going to be before I have clarity again.”

“Drink this water and eat a cracker, then I'll tell you.”

Fine. I down the rest of the bottle of water he offers me, and shove a stupid cracker into my mouth. Alex's knot is still locked inside me and I don't think I'll lose myself again until we're no longer knotted, which I'm grateful for.

“Does he have to fight you every time before you'll let him fuck you?”

“What?” I snap, “no. Alex wouldn't actually fight with me. We might get a little rough sometimes, but we don't fight.”

Kaleb's jaw ticks. “Right, well, what I saw just now looked like a fight. Are you hurt?”

“I'm fine. I feel really great right now. I don't feel hurt. Corso? What happened? Was it different from how it usually is with me and Alex?”

“Yes, Talia. It was. When you see Alex you'll understand.”

I turn my head as much as I can to try to see Alex, but all I see is a bunch of blonde hair hanging in his face. “What's wrong? Are you hurt?”

The lunatic laughs again, “no, they're all ridiculous. I'm not hurt, and neither are you. Corso's right, though. That wasn't our usual. Fuck, it was amazing.” He rolls his hips, making his knot rub and pull inside me, and I groan.

“Mmm, fuck, Alex. Keep doing that.”

 “See boys? She's perfectly fine.”

“But are you?” Kaleb asks, but he doesn't wait for Alex to respond. “Nathan!”

“For fuck sake,” Alex grumbles, and rests his head on my shoulder. “I'm good. I don't need Nathan to run in here with an ice pack and a lollipop.”

Nathan strolls through the door, but stops dead in his tracks when he takes in the scene. “Jesus. What happened?”

“Alex fucked Talia, or Talia fucked Alex. Either way, come look at his eye and check his shoulder.” Kaleb sounds about as irritated as I'm beginning to feel.

That only becomes worse when my body releases Alex and the scent of my slick and his cum permeates the area. I wasn't ready to let him go, I wanted to have a rest with him before the next wave takes me over.

Corso scoops me into his lap and folds me into his warm scent that makes me think of laundry fresh from the dryer. I look back at Alex and gasp. There's blood trailing from the corner of his rapidly darkening eye and the bite mark on his shoulder would make any alpha proud. “I'm sorry, Alex. I didn't mean to.”

He growls and glares at Kaleb, “don't you dare be sorry for anything you do to me when we fuck. I like how it is with us. It's fun, and it isn't always like this. They'll see soon enough. We can love easy, too, baby; you know that.”

I nod, I do know that.
