It’s a bigger shame I can’t reach him.

Mitchell takes a breath to probably talk some shit, but Talia doesn’t give him time.

In the span of a blink she catches him in a hold and uses the momentum to flip him over her back and onto a desk. She has him pinned on his back, his head between her knees, and his arms trapped between her thighs and calves. She’s smiling down at him while Jasper kneels over his legs. “Did you look at our alphas a single, solitary time since they’ve been here?” she says sweetly.

“Fuck you,” he spits at her.

“Did he look at you, Trent? Even once?”

Trent laughs that same unhinged laugh, “more than once.”

“Oh, Mitchell. I thought we had an understanding,” she says softly, moving one hand over Mitchell’s mouth, then uses the other to slowly pluck out one of his eyes. Her hand doesn’t muffle the sound of his screams. She holds the eye in front of her face for a moment, looking at it while stringy nerves and veins flop against her wrist, “would you like both of them, princess?”

Jasper takes the time to actually consider it. “No, just the one, I think. I want him to see what happens next.”

He reaches over to take a knife from Talia’s belt and drags the flat side down Mitchell’s chest to the waistband of his pants.

“Sit up, this is the best part,” Talia purrs as she lifts Mitchell’s head by his hair so he can watch Jasper slide the knife into his stomach.

Talia doesn’t cover his mouth, this time. She lets him scream while Jasper holds the knife handle in both hands and shoves it upward, not stopping until he hits Mitchell’s sternum. Mitchell’s intestines spill out as he screams, and Jasper and Talia hold him there until he stops.

 “Let go, Seth,” Derek yells.

He’s not brave anymore. He knows he’s going to die at the hands of two omegas.

Jasper hops off the desk and holds a hand out to Talia to help her down.

I can’t help but think they’re adorable, covered in blood and guts or not. They walk over to stand in front of Derek. Talia and Seth exchange a look, then Talia nods.

 “Where are the keys, asshole?”

Derek throws out a leg to kick her, but it’s easily knocked away before she knees him in the groin.

“Where are the keys?” she repeats.

“I think they’re in Mitchell’s pocket,” I call out, but she doesn’t respond.

Jasper doesn’t look at me, either.

Derek looks at Jasper and issues a sharp command, “on your knees, omega.”

 Jasper smiles at him.

Derek glares into Talia’s eyes, “get on your knees, omega.”

He’s issuing alpha commands strong enough that one of them should have at least twitched or blinked, but they’re both smiling at him. Well, Talia is smirking.

Trent waves a hand and Jasper looks over at him.

“The keys,” Trent says slowly, “Mitchell’s pocket.”

Jasper nods at him, then I notice the earbuds in his ears. Well, now.

“Don’t speak again, Derek,” Seth hisses into his ear, but Derek doesn’t listen.

He tries the command one last time, and when he finishes Talia cocks her head to the side and says, “you’re a shit alpha, Cross.”

Then she nods at Seth again, and he grips Derek’s hair to tilt his head back so she can slit his throat. Seth doesn’t let him sink to the floor until he stops gurgling.
