I nod once. Then we start really fucking her. These thrusts are to work our knots inside her. Jesus, fuck it feels so good. It's so much like it is with Jasper, but not as slick, and I can feel Nathan on the other side of that warm wall. Neither of us are as concerned about being gentle right now and she's making the best noises. The second my knot is lodged inside her I'm growling with urgency, “Nathan. Now.”

He gives one last thrust and she cries out again, she's moaning both our names almost incoherently at this point.

Then we bite her.

It's almost like we practiced, but we didn't. When we marked Jasper it was obviously on separate occasions. I feel my teeth penetrate her skin and flesh, the taste of her blood washes over my tongue and I experience the same otherworldly, dominant pleasure I felt when I marked Jasper as mine.

Talia is caught between me and Nathan, with both of us held so tight inside her body. She keeps spasming around me and she's making this little humming, purring sound, but her voice is hoarse from all the noise she's been making.

“Leaning back,” Nathan says softly, and I lean with him. We settle on our sides, and arrange Talia's legs so that one is straight down between ours and the other is hitched over Nathan's hip.

I think she actually has passed out.

“Is she alright?” Jasper whispers from the doorway, scaring the shit out of me and making me jump; which pulls a whine from Talia.

I can feel the almost drugged contentment through the bond that's forming between us spike with intense irritation for half a second, but she doesn't stir other than that.

Corso is in the doorway with him. “She's alright,” Corso says, “just well-loved.”

Then they both walk their asses over to the bed to touch all three of us. Jasper even gives me and Nathan a kiss, and he puts one on Talia's ankle when he walks back to the doorway.

The next morning is eventful. The hospital calls before anybody but Talia and Kaleb are awake to tell us that Devon can come home this morning. She must have woken Jasper up to tell him first, because they both dive into the bed on top of me and Nathan to tell us. If we weren't so excited to get Devon back home with us, we would have most certainly fucked them. But they were both so bouncy and adorable that we just dragged ourselves out of bed and into clothes.

Apparently, nobody cares that the people who sleep later than the sun haven't had breakfast or showers because we're in the van, that we may never return to the council, and driving down the road before I've even rubbed the sleep out of my eyes.

They say he's ready to come home, but Devon still looks like shit; and he leans heavily on Kaleb and Reid when they're helping him into the van. He takes the passenger seat where Corso typically sits. I was wondering how the dynamic between them would pan out. Devon is our lead alpha, and Corso is Alex's and Reid's.

I didn't expect them to fight it out for dominance within the new pack, but I did expect a little more turbulence. Corso's older than Devon by a few years, Alex is older, too. That apparently means they're better at regulating themselves and maintaining pack harmony than any of us thought possible. Devon and Corso won't fight for dominance, they're just going to work together to lead us.

I can already feel how amazing that's going to be for us. There won't be any power grabs or hard feelings or omegas feeling like they need to choose a side. Not like that would happen, anyway. Talia will choose Jasper's side, and Jasper's side will be whichever side is most beneficial to Talia and we'd all have to work around that.

If Devon was excited to let Kaleb and Reid help him into the van, he is fucking ecstatic when Nathan and I basically carry him up the stairs to Jasper's room. And he is positively goddamned thrilled to learn that he's not allowed to walk farther than the bathroom connecting to Talia's room. The only thing that he does make him happy is the fact that he's in Jasper's room until he's able to handle the stairs.

“I don’t need to be carried and catered to like this. It’s ridiculous. I’m fine. I can walk farther than ten feet.” Devon’s pouting is almost as famous as his temper. Not that anyone but Talia would ever call him out about it.

Talia puts her hand on her hip and glares at Devon, not afraid of his attitude in the least, “don’t let me catch you up on your own, Devon. And if you even attempt to go farther than the bathroom until I say you can, there will be consequences. Lots of them.”

I grin at Devon’s scowl and say, “yeah, lots and lots of consequences.”

“This isn’t necessary,” Devon continues.

“You don’t get to decide what’s necessary right now. Do I make myself clear? I can always ask my mother to come stay with us for a while. She wouldn’t mind looking after you again.”

Devon’s mouth tightens, “no, we don’t need to get Elizabet here. She’s done enough for me.”

I laugh, “you just don’t want her fussing after you every five minutes.”

“Just be good, Devon. And don’t pout. You’ll get better quicker if you don’t try to do too much.”

He’s still scowling, and I make a pouty face at him. He enjoys it as much as I thought he would, and I just laugh at him again.

Talia has prepared Jasper's room with everything Devon might need. She even had Corso bring in a small table and chairs so we can take turns having meals with him while he’s stuck in bed. That's fine, but we're all likely going to eat in here with him even if we have to sit on the floor to do it.

“You're not giving me sponge baths,” he declares from his nest of pillows.

“What are you going to do, Devon? Stop me? You're getting washed. I can do it, or Jasper can do it. But one of us is going to do it, and if you try to be difficult I can either drug you or get reinforcements,” she nods in our general direction, “but you are going to be washed. I don't like the weird smells on you, neither does Jasper.”
