I take a step towards her. Cali flinches just slightly but stands her ground. I get close enough to her to see the fight-or-flight flair in her eyes, and then I stop.

“What?” Cali’s crystal blue eyes widen, and her pupils dilate.

Despite the fact I knew she’d choose him, there’s a slight twinge of disappointment.

“Take your pants off,” I growl at Miles.

Miles is slowly pulling his jeans down.
“Did I say take forever, pup?”
