I pull up to the address, and there is a man standing at a tall metal fence, blocking the road.
“You lost?” he looks over at me.
“I don’t think so. I’m here to tutor Carter Pearce.” I look around wondering if Storm gave me the wrong address.
"Shit, okay. I forgot they said you'd be coming." He slides the gate open and nods at me to go in. I pull up the road, and it opens to a large lot with tons of bikes parked. A brewhouse looking building sits back a little bit with men in leather milling around the outside.
Holy shit. I’m at the club
I thought I would be meeting them at their house.
All eyes focus on me, wondering who the stranger is that just pulled up.
“You planning on getting out of the car?” A voice next to me makes me jump. Storm laughs at my jumpiness.
“Yea, I just didn’t realize I was coming here.” I grab the materials I brought off my passenger seat and Storm opens my door.
"Come on; I'll take you to Carter." His hand rests on my lower back to guide me. I try to move to the side, but he grips my hip. "You need to let me do this here. I get you're probably pissed but let me explain after."
What was that supposed to mean?
I decide not to argue and let him lead me to Carter. Walking in the space is open, and there aren't that many people there. Against one wall is a long bar, a pretty brunette wearing a jacket similar to the guys is standing behind it. On the other side of the room are a few other girls who are wearing things that could barely be classified as clothes.
Storm guides me to a door down the hallway. Inside are some kids tables and toys, Carter is sitting at one with Nikki.
"Miss Becca!" he runs up to me hugging me.
“Hey, you ready to get some math done?” I walk over to the table and sit down.
"Thanks for doing this," Nikki says as she stands up.
"No problem." She walks toward the door. "Storm you coming, or you need help with your addition and subtraction too?"
He shoots her a look before walking out of the room.
I take out the worksheets I brought and get to work with Carter. He is a really good kid; he just has problems because he's more concerned with playing around and arguing with the others boys than doing his work.
After an hour we've worked through the sheets and read two books together. "Okay, you did great. I will see you tomorrow in class." He hugs me and I walk out hoping to sneak out to my car without running into Storm. There are more people in the main room now, and every eye turns to me as I make my way out of the building.
“Trying to sneak out?” Storm steps in front of me.
Fail.
"I just need to get home." I try to walk around him, but he sidesteps and stands in front of me again.
"Nope, I told you when you were done with the kid that you'd be mine." He reaches for my arm, but I step back.
"I'm not yours, and you don't get to toy with me anymore." I try to walk away, but he moves in front of me again. "Get out of my way, Storm."
"Sorry, Angel can't do that." He laughs, smug bastard.
“Fine, I’ll follow you and let you try to explain yourself.” He smiles and then starts to walk back down toward the hallway. He’s so cocky he doesn’t even look behind him to see if I’m following. I make a break for the door and head to my car.
"Well, hey there. I ain't seen you around here before." A man sitting on my car looks me up and down. The way he looks at me, I'm immediately uncomfortable. At this point, I wish I would have just followed Storm.
“Yea, sorry I was just leaving.” I walk around the car to my door hoping he’ll just go away.
“So soon? Why don’t you come inside and I’ll show you a good time.” His hand reaches out grabbing my ass so hard tears prick my eyes.
