“Amber is one of my best friends. We’ve known each other since we were in diapers.” There was a strange look in her eye, like she was jealous or something. But she just called me her friend, so there was nothing for her to be jealous of. “Do you think you can work on the Stang for me today? I’d really appreciate it.”

She gave me a pointed look, and I took that as my cue to leave.

“I’ll have to go get some oil and a filter, but sure, I’ll be back soon, Pippa.” I started to head out the door, but stopped half way through it, and abruptly turned around to find Amber checking me out. “Oh, by the way, it was nice meeting you, Amber.”

She didn’t answer me, so I left the room quickly, but not before I heard Pippa call me amazing again before hitting the stairs.

By the time I got back with the oil filter and shit for Pippa’s oil change, Amber was gone, and it I had to admit, it was a bit disappointing. I wanted to see her again, but asking Pippa for her information didn’t seem right. So, instead of obsessing over some girl I probably had no chance with. I worked on Pippa’s car, hoping one day I’d see her again… thankfully I did.

Memories of the day we met hit me hard, and I can’t help but feel the nostalgia of it all. Dad’s right. I shouldn’t hold what happened in Vegas against Amber. Not when I did the same shit to her.

I really need to talk to her…

Turning around, I head straight towards Amber’s house, knowing that the only way to keep her, is to talk this shit out. But there’s no telling how this will even pan out. Not after the way I left her last night. I did leave a rather big hole in her wall… and she probably thinks I’m the biggest asshole for it.

Damn, Dad, was right. Riding is definitely a good way to clear your head.

Dad’s bike shudders a mile from Amber’s house, probably because I forgot to fill it before going on the ride. I pull into the first gas station I find, and fill up the tiny tank, but not before I run inside to grab something to eat. Whatever drink dad gave me this morning is making my stomach feel like shit.

After grabbing a cinnamon roll and a bottle of water, I pay the guy behind the counter and head back out to my dad’s bike… only it’s not alone.

“Jinafer? What the hell are you doing here?”

She twirls a piece of her multi-colored pigtail, the bright orange and red would make normal girls look like a clown, but on Jinafer, it’s hot, and part of the reason she easily seduced me that night.

“Saw you riding this sweet motorcycle and thought I’d say hello.” She gives me a little wave, then blows me a kiss. “Hi there, handsome. Want to hang out?”

“No. Absolutely not. I should actually get going—”

She stops me with her hand, halting me so that I can’t move another inch.

“Heard you and Amber broke up. So tragic.” She smirks evilly, then pops a piece of gum in her mouth, leaning against my bike until her tiny little crop top has ridden almost up her whole belly.

“Who the fuck told you that?”

She rolls her eyes. “Does it matter who told me? All that matters is you’re single... I’m single… we’re both young, sexy adults with a hellacious sexual appetite. Do you remember our night together, Eddie? How much fun we had?”

“I try to forget it as much as possible?”

She frowns. “Aww, Eddie, don’t be like that. You and I both know that nothing would’ve happened between us if you weren’t already thinking about it.” She seductively moves closer, her hands moving up my chest until they are resting on my shoulders. “You wanted me just as much as I wanted you.” Her fingertips tip toe up my chest. “By the way, have I ever told you how fucking sexy I find a man who rides a motorcycle? If I thought you were hot before, you’re ten times hotter now. Want to take me for a ride?”

Removing her hands, I take a step back, trying to fend her off. “No. I kinda broke my hand last night. Also, what the hell are you talking about? I never wanted you, Jinafer, you fucking took advantage of me being drunk. That’s the only reason we fucked. It was a mistake. Fucking you that night was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made, and now I’ve probably lost the love of my life because of it.”

She shrugs her shoulders. “You’re better off without her, Eddie. A guy like you has no business being with a girl like her. You’re an outlaw, the kind of guy who fucks everything up and can’t get away with shit. You need a girl who understands that—a girl that’s not afraid to be the Bonnie to your Clyde.”

“I’m not a fucking degenerate lowlife, Jinafer. I’m a good fucking man. Misunderstood, maybe, but a good man nonetheless. One who is doing his best to turn his life around. I’m also a man who fucking loves his woman, and I’m not about to fuck shit up even more between us by entertaining you.”

The girl is seriously pissing me off. She really needs to take a fucking hint.

“Eddie, come on, stop playing hard to get. I know you’re single, Pippa fucking told me that bitch Amber cheated on you. Why would you want to stay with someone so unfaithful?” Her right eyebrow slightly rises as her smile spreads.

Yeah, I get exactly what you’re saying bitch. No words needed.

“Fuck off, Jinafer. Do me a favor and take your skanky ass home and leave me the fuck alone. Amber and I aren’t broken up. Pippa has no idea what she’s fucking talking about. We had a fight, that’s it. And I’m on my way to make up with her right now. Besides, even if we were broken up, I still wouldn’t touch your pussy with a ten-foot pole. I’ve heard the stories; I knowhow many guys have fucked you. And I definitely don’t want to go down that diseased infested rabbit hole again.”

“Fuck you, Eddie.” She shoves me hard, knocking me slightly off kilter.

“Been there… unfortunately done that… and definitely made sure to return the T-shirt.”
