The way her nose turned with disdain for me had my cock twitching. It was the first time in forever that a woman actually turned me on without having to drop to her knees.

Goddamn, less than a week with this woman and I was already a goner.

“Look, I have money now. I’m just going to get on a plane and head to Vegas like I originally planned. You won’t have to worry about us anymore after that.”

My back pressed against my bike as I crossed my arms. “Sure, sounds like the best idea ever, sweetheart. Let’s get a plane ticket that can be traced by the cops and bring your husband right to you.”

She frowned. “Shit, you’re right.”

“Who’s in Vegas, anyway?”

“My sister Cadence. She doesn’t even know we’re coming, but she’s all I have right now.”

The thought of them leaving actually had me a little upset. Maybe it was this loser mentality I had over losing Shasta toSnyder and everyone else, but I kinda liked the companionship that came with the young mom and her small child. I didn’t want them to leave, at least not yet.

“Okay, I get it. But here me out. You need to get on your feet, right? So, why don’t you just stay here a few more weeks? You can stay at my place, and I’ll talk to my cleaning lady about paying you under the table so your location can’t be traced. I know you got some money there, but the more you save, the better off you’ll be when you finally get to Vegas, you could maybe even afford a lawyer or something?”

She let out a sigh, her shoulders sagging. “I don’t know if I can trust you. You’re… well, look at you! You’re…”

“Devilishly handsome? Built like a Greek God?”

“I was gonna say, a filthy, foul-mouthed biker.”

Placing my hand over my heart, I feigned being mortally wounded. “You wound me, Gina. Filthy? If only you knew just how filthy I could actually be.” My eyes raised and waggled obnoxiously, a flirtatious smile toying with my lips like a conniving fox on a wintery hunt. “I’ll have you know, I’m so much more than a biker. I’m also a damn good fu…” Catching myself, I retracted my words, stopping myself before the swear word reached her little parrot’s ears. “Fu…fun guy.”Shit, maybe I am foul-mouthed.

Alex smiled. “You do seem fun!” That toothy grin of his was highly infectious.

At least I have Alex on board. Gina… not so much.

“I appreciate the offer, but no thank you. Alex and I can figure this out on our own.” Gripping her son’s hand, she started marching back down the street, her long brunette hair swaying like a horse’s mane that I wanted to grip in my hand and pull.

She hadn’t even made it the length of the building before a police car appeared up the road, heading straight for the pawn shop. Instantly, she froze in place, fear overtaking her.

Without thinking, I moved forward, gripping her petite hand in mine before yanking her against me. “Close your eyes, kid.”

Alex covered his eyes just as my lips touched down on Gina’s, rendering her breathless.

The warmth of her mouth was so invigorating, electrifying parts of me that usually felt so deprived. This kiss was only meant to be her cover, but the way it made me feel inside had it turning into something more… something I’d never fucking felt before in my life. Normal me would’ve pulled away, but the greedy asshole inside me wanted to fucking devour her—to gobble her up and claim her as my own. Fuck that bitch Shasta and her tempting lips… this right here was something on a whole other level. Our first kiss was a drunken mess, but this one, this one had the fire and passion needed to start a bonfire big enough to burn down a redwood tree.

I felt her tense as the police car’s wheels slowed beside the road, coming to a stop beside us.

The cop cleared his throat, and I broke our kiss, pushing Gina slightly behind me. “Can I help you, Officer Hadley?” I hated the prick. He was always trying to pin shit on our club, making it impossible to do any business around town.

The pig eyed me curiously, looking from me to Gina, then to Alex who hovered behind her legs.

“Is this man bothering you, Miss?”

Gina looked up at me, worrying her lip between her teeth.

“No, Officer, he’s not.” She wiped at her mouth, rubbing away any remnants of that mind-blowing kiss we just shared.

Yeah, try to erase it, sweetheart. I assure you it’s something I’ll never fucking forget. Not this time.

Hadley definitely wasn’t convinced. But who could blame him? I fucked his wife and then left her broken-hearted and thoroughly fucked, ghosting her the second I got a piece of her used-up pussy. It wasn’t like I wanted anything from her otherthan sex. I honestly just wanted to say I fucked a pig’s sow and got away with it. The man’s never forgiven me for it. Probably why he’s always on my ass. It’s not my fault his wife was so easy. He should be a better fuck.

“Didn’t peg you as a family man, Chuck,” Officer Hadley exclaimed.

The prick knows I fucking hate being called Chuck.
