No human could ever help me defend her as well as a Dynosauros soldier, but I might have to kill the entire squad to keep her. If they’d come into heat too—which was likely, since squad members tended to sync up their cycles—they might try to take her from me. It wasn’t uncommon for an entire squad to be eliminated in a breeding frenzy if they weren’t isolated.

Brutal fights to the death for the right to mate might not even leave me standing at the end. I had no doubt that I would come out on top—but I might be too damaged to care for her. Then what would happen to her?

Especially if she carried my young.

She’d need proper medical care. Not fucking human medics with their barbaric weaponry they called surgery. Snryx was the best medic in the galaxy, but could I trust him anywhere near her?

Worse, Earth had a terrible reputation for torturing and experimenting on captured extraterrestrials. I could only imagine what they’d do to her, let alone an alien embryo. If they knew humans could breed with aliens…

A silent snarl twisted my lips. I had to find a way to stay alive so I could protect her. Build her a nest somewhere safe. Better yet, get her off planet entirely. But for that, I’d have to trust Axxol not to betray us again. Our pilot was the reason we were stranded on Earth in the first place. No fucking way could I let him anywhere near my mate.

Or I might never see her again.

Though thebestway to protect her… would be if my entire squad was as dedicated to her as me. At least the ones I trusted. Four dyni mates, indestructible soldiers at her side. Nothing would ever harm her. As long as we didn’t kill each other, Axxol didn’t track us down to finish us off, and we managed to either get off planet or find a way to stay hidden on Earth indefinitely.

Would my little human mate even be willing to allow four alien monsters, as she called us, to share her?

NATALIE

Waking up alone was both a huge disappointment—and a relief. I pushed up on my elbows and glanced around the hut. Even without him, the one-room shack seemed incredibly tiny and pretty rough. The bed—barely larger than a twin—was basically a box on cement blocks with a light sheet. The mattress seemed to be made up of thin cushions for outdoor furniture. Old, tattered mosquito netting had been tacked up overhead and pushed aside like a curtain. No way would that old holey thing keep out any mosquitoes.

I could only imagine future scientists finding a fossilized mosquito in amber from our time period, wondering why it had dino-DNA. Huffing out a laugh, I gingerly sat up on the edge of the bed. I ached all over, whether from sleeping on such a thin mattress, the numerous falls I’d taken in my run through the jungle, or the extracurricular activities with Kroktl. Likely all the above.

Remembering, I rubbed my eyes, fighting down the urge to laugh hysterically and maybe cry. What the hell are you doing, Nat?

It wasn’t like me to hook up with some random guy I’d just met. Fine. Cool. I’d been more than willing to hop into bed with him.

But he wasn’t human.

He’s an alien! Who shifts into an even scarier lizard-monster that chased me through the jungle!

And I still slept with him.

My hips and groin ached. Remembering his size. The way he’d stretched and filled me. The fucking knot swelled up like a basketball inside me.

Oh god.

He’d been literally stuck. IN ME. So thick and huge and long that I couldn’t breathe or move without climaxing again. Just remembering…

Heat spread across my face and down my neck. Flushed, sweaty, and yeah, turned on. If he’d been here right now, I’d be climbing on for round two. Or was it three? Did the second time count because he’d still been stuck inside me?

My hand quivered as I swiped my hair out of my face.Get a grip. Pull yourself together before he comes back.

I pushed up to my feet, wavering as my muscles whimpered. My calves and thighs ached. My back was tight. My hips felt loose in their sockets. Fucking hell. I knew why too. Strained wide apart by his shoulders while he’d licked me…

A small grunt escaped my lips. My pussy tightened and pulsed rhythmically. My heart thudded heavily, and I bent over, bracing my hands on my knees. Waiting for it to pass.

Climax. Just thinking about him. Without a single touch.

Chills crept down my spine. Ironically, that scared me more than anything else.

I could count on one hand the number of men who’d been able to make me climax once. But for a man to give me an orgasm just thinking about him…? That was absolutely crazy.

Heat pulsed through me. My cheeks felt flushed, my eyes hot and dry. Maybe I had a fever. Wouldn’t be unexpected after being in the jungle a few days, right? Though I’d gotten all my immunizations before the trip. Straightening gingerly, I concentrated on my breathing, trying to slow my heart rate down.

A lot could be going on with me right now. I might have malaria or some other insect-borne disease. I was certainly dehydrated. I hadn’t eaten anything since the candy bar I’d indulged in yesterday. I’d also been through strenuous activity—not even counting wild sex with an alien lizard-man. Food, water, and a shower would fix a lot, though glancing around, I wasn’t sure the latter would be possible.

There was a set of café-style swinging door opposite the main entrance. I took a peek and nearly wept with relief. A tiny, dark bathroom complete with a cramped shower. I wasn’t sure about the water source, and the water wasn’t hot, but washing away the grime and sweat made me feel like a new woman. The cool water soothed my heated skin. It was too gloomy in the tiny shower to tell, but I expected my legs to be covered in scratches from my panicked flight through the jungle. I sudsed my lower legs well, hoping any cuts didn’t get infected, though nothing stung and I didn’t feel any scabs.
