“What is it?”Hallie asked eagerly.

“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you.”

“I wish you hadn’t told me at all.Now I’ll be wondering what it is all day!Maybe if I tickle you...”She reached for his torso, but he stood firm, not shrinking away and not laughing at all.“What?You’re not ticklish?”

He shook his head.“Sorry.Maybe you’re not tickling the right area.”

Hallie opened her mouth wide.“Is that some kind of double entendre?”

“No,” he insisted, looking serious.“I’m just not going to tell you where I’m ticklish.”

“Another secret, huh?”

“You could try to find out,” he offered, lifting his arms in an open stance.

“Nice try,” she said, grinning.

Hallie was more comfortable around him at least, though he was disappointed that she didn’t feel ready to get closer to him.This would have to be one of the longest seductions he had ever done, but he was determined not to give up.
