“Such a good omega,” I purred, letting the rumble fill the air. Watching our omega preen at the praise had my chest warming.
When she collapsed against the mattress, Jackson easily moved her to the side, laying them down and stroking her hair. I hurried to the bathroom wetting a cloth with cool water before coming back. I gently cleaned her, running it gently over herfeverish flesh. I’d never felt anyone this hot before, it had to be miserable.
The rag quickly became too warm, but I was done by then, my alpha satisfied that we took care of her.
“Thank you,” was all she managed before her eyes fluttered closed and she was snoring softly, completely worn out.
“I’ve never felt anything like this,” Jackson said, holding her close. He had that same dreamy look on his face that she did earlier.
“She was made for us.”
It turns out that Dani is a bit of a brat. Every time we tried to coax her to eat or drink something to keep up her strength, she fought us. Even showers were a battle unless somebody had their face buried between her thighs.
She was so perfect and so needy. I’d soaked in every fucking sound and plea that fell from those lips.
My body was deliciously sore. We were only three days in, and she was insatiable. We simply took turns eating and sleeping, doing anything we could to make sure she was comfortable while also satisfying her.
If we all happened to pass out at once after taking her together, we were quickly woken up a few hours later by her groans of pain, the cramps coming back.
Then we were thrown into another wave.
She was also so damn sweet. Every time she was wrapped around one of us, taking us as deep as we could get, she was blissfully happy. She smelled perfect as we snuggled in close.
I loved this omega so much it hurt. The adorable way she demanded my R2-D2 had won me over completely. I couldn’t wait to convince her to go places with me, like the comicconventions and nerdy events I thought others might laugh at me for. I had a feeling this girl would embrace that just as much as she had embraced our careers and quirks.
Griff’s phone went off, ruining the quiet. He groaned, rolling over quickly to grab the phone and silencing it. Cy was still knotted deep inside our girl, and she was passed out on the mattress next to him. I knew from his sigh exactly who the call had come from.
“Is it Coach again?”
“Yeah. He’s been checking in to make sure we have everything we need every few days,” Griff said. “But also to report that someone had gone public with the whole Henry situation. I don’t know who would’ve leaked it. Hell, it could even have been one of the guys from his new team for all I know.”
“Well, we know it wasn’t us or her friends,” I said. Bea was a force of her own and Taryn had called in their pack to help us protect them. They’ve honestly been incredible, making sure that Dani was protected when we were away with baseball.
It was strange, but nice, being a part of a community now. Willow Lake had given me a taste and honestly, I liked it. We’d been in the city so long I couldn’t imagine leaving until now, but after the last few weeks… I’d come to like the quiet life. The fact the neighboring businesses had shown up when assholes vandalized their business was huge.
You wouldn’t see that anywhere else.
The beauty of our life was we didn’t really have to choose. We could have this life here with Dani, and on game nights, enjoy the city. It had its own beauty, the nightlife, the lights, the things to see and do.
Truth be told, fast paced wasn’t ever my favorite. I’d just dealt with it for our careers and the pack.
Cy had always thrived there. He was a social guy and always wanted to keep busy. Even Griff who complained about traffic, seemed at home there. So, after college, we just stuck around.
I glanced at Griff, considering before finally, just getting the truth out there.
“I don’t want to go our separate ways after this,” I admitted. “I know we’ve been staying with her some nights, and we said we’d talk about it, but I want to make it a reality.”
“We can keep our place in the city for nights we have to stay for games, like we said. She can join us on those nights. And when we’re in town…”
“We can stay at Dani’s place,” I finished. “It could use some upgrades, maybe some building on, but I don’t think she’d be opposed to that.”
“I don’t think so, either,” he agreed. “Honestly, I think our omega would just be happy that we’re embracing her life here.”
He nodded, risking a glance at the woman in question. “Maybe I can have one of our contacts draw up some building plans for us. We can have them stop by her house and take a look, work with our descriptions on mock ups then run it by her. We can give her the best of both worlds.”
That was a huge weight off my shoulders. We were all so busy, I was terrified of this solid bond we built losing some of its intensity when the heat was over. I couldn’t do it.
Our conversation fell away as a whimper escaped our omega’s lips.
