Around me, my Alphas emitted spicy plumes of scent, filling the cab despite the open windows. Their breathing was strained, their reactions intensifying in response to the way I craved them.

Every bump in the road sent fresh waves of pain and pleasure coursing through me. I couldn't stay still, my body writhing between the twins as my heat consumed me. The truck seemed to be crawling, though I could feel the engine roaring beneath us as Wyatt pushed it to its limits. When the truck hit a hole in the road, abruptly dipping down and then popping up again, I felt a gush of slick release, soaking the inner thighs of the jeans.

"Faster," I begged, eyes still closed, not sure if I meant the truck or something else entirely.

I knew we’d turned onto Sagebrush’s drive when the wheels crunched against gravel.Home. I was almost home.

After a few moments, I parted my lashes, discovering that Wyatt was driving like a madman past the rambler, slicing between the hothouses, and rumbling over rougher terrain towards the original homestead land. We’d be at my barn soon. Maybe it was crazy to go there. I should want creature comforts, like pillows and blankets and everything soft piled around my body. I didn’t though. I wanted to be in the place I’d claimed for myself. I wanted to lay on the itchy blankets, turn on the crackling radio, and give myself over to my Alphas.

The truck jerked to a stop, dust billowing around us as Wyatt slammed on the brakes. Through my fever-hazed vision, I could make out the weathered outline of my barn just yards away. My sanctuary, which was about to becomeours.

"We're here," Wyatt announced, his voice strained to breaking.

Before I could attempt to move, Wade was already outside the truck and scooping me into his arms. The sudden movement sent another wave of clenching, twisting heat through my core. I nuzzled against his body, whimpering and wanting.

"I've got you," he murmured, his lips brushing my temple as he kicked closed the passenger door and strode quickly away.

The air, warmer now than it had been when we’d left the ranch only a short while ago, did nothing to cool my burning skin. Wade’s strides were purposeful yet careful. Behind us, I could hear the other four Alphas scrambling from the truck, their footfalls heavy and urgent on the packed earth.

I wanted to touch each of them. Every dip and valley. Every hard line of muscle.

A primal wave of hunger made me squirm and shift in Wade’s embrace. He seemed to understand what I wanted, shifting me easily so that instead of cradling my body, he held me upright. I wrapped my long legs around his thick waist and threaded my hands behind his neck, before pulling myself even higher so I could shove my face against the hollow where his shoulder terminated. I breathed him in, eyes rolling back in my head as his pheromones did their job admirably.

 Clenching.

 Cramping.

 Hot. So damn hot.

 Just like them.

The barn door whined open—Cooper had rushed ahead to pull it wide—and then we were inside. It smelled different than last time I was here, but I didn’t have the brain power to discover the change.

Wade carried me straight to the overlapping, tattered blankets on the floor, my brain processing that they weren’t where I’d left them, and the planks beneath looked suspiciously clean. But those were just fleeting details, that quickly got lost in the overwhelming reality of what was happening.

My Alpha with the adorable smile and scarred eyebrow tried to lower me, but initially I didn’t want to unclamp my legs fromaround his body. I held onto him like he might disappear if I let go.

“We can’t do anything if we stay like this,” Wade reasoned with me, his eyes dark with need.

I forced myself to unfold my legs, letting him lower me to the ground.

The moment my legs took my weight, a fresh wave of slick rushed between my thighs, and my knees threatened to buckle. I grabbed at Wade's shirt, fisting the fabric as I pulled myself against him. My body moved of its own accord, my arms lifting, and my inner wrists pressing against his neck. I never wanted our smells to separate. I wanted to be together forever.

With him. With them. With my pack.

"Wade," I gasped, rising on my tiptoes to reach his face, my hands moving to explore his hard stomach. "Kiss me. Please kiss me."

His eyes, usually so gentle, were stormy and wild now. I could see him fighting his instincts, trying to hold onto some semblance of control.

"Nelly," he breathed, his hands settling on my waist, neither pulling me closer nor pushing me away. "Are you sure? Really sure? I don’t think any of us can stop if we start.”

I leaned slightly over, taking in the sight of the other four men circling behind him. I bit my lower lip at the idea of all five starting something with me that they couldn’t stop. When I straightened, I answered Wade. Not with words though.

I tangled my fingers in his hair and pulled his mouth down to mine. That first touch of our lips destroyed any lingering hesitation.

 Not just about marking them.

 And mating with them.
